Cause I had one in my last game and he told me it was meta I don't play this game much anymore, so tell me if I'm ignorant or what

Amumu isn't even meta.
It is not meta, but it tends to work really well up till about gold when players are better at kiting.
It blows donkey doo, but it can get a bunch of kills so it looks good on paper.
It's the only viable way to play him right now... Like... Tank amumu gets destroyed and doesn't deal damage, while glass cannon gets detroyed too, but atleast he's doing damage, y'know?
