The issue is that things like Aurelion Sol come out that are balanced, and they are ignored until something that upsets people comes along, then they scream imbalance

I think there trying to pull off an ancient form of balancing, called the "Nerf-Buff"

Basically, what you do is make balanced people weaker, so no one plays them, and OP people stronger so everyone plays them. That way, if done right, everyone plays the OP champions, and the game is balanced, because everyone is OP. That way, you are essentially nerfing someone, by buffing them. A perfect examples is Riven who riot WILL NOT STOP BUFFING!
