I was talking about the inherent differences between men and women and that men tend to be better at computer science and gaming AS A GENERAL WHOLE, and why that applies to the events that occurred at PAX (in a thread discussing Riot's stance on excluding men from events that include subjects involving computer science and gaming).

Yes there are individuals that defy the average one way or another. No that is not sexist or bigoted.

I feel my comment was moderated simply because it doesn't resonate that well with people. They don't like knowing what the averages or tendencies of the different genders are, because they feel that it's somehow limiting people from pursuing their dreams.

It's bs.

Nope. It was moderated due to THIS rule:

Do not post or engage in discussions of religion, ethnicity/race, sexual orientation, gender, politics, or real-world social issues. Real-world emergency situations will be allowed as long as they do not relate to the issues above. If you are unsure if your content is permissible, ask us on the Moderation Discord prior to posting.

There are places where discussing gender dynamics and biology as they relate to various industries is an acceptable and allowed topic of conversation. The League of Legends board is not really one.

Additionally, you stated the following, which is another rules violation:

guess which gender tends to be better at all things computers and gaming. If you guessed non binaries and women, then congrats, you're mentally retarded.

It just sounds like people are misunderstanding your arguement. You are essentially just pointing out that men are statistically more likely to be interested in computer science than women.

You aren't saying that women can't be more interested in computer science than men, but that is how they are translating it.

I am neither Left or Right, but statistics always seem to offend those on the Left when talking about statistics between the two sexes unless it is favorable to women. Which is inherently sexist which is hilarious. But since this is a leftist dominated company, you are probably being viewed as offensive for showing statistics that are favorable for men. Which is even more hilarious because the Right doesn't even care when you bring up the statistic that women are statistically doing better in academia in general.

But please don't make assumptions about my politics if any of you are offended by anything I just said. I am more of a libertarian/anarchist so I have no horse in this race.

why do you say men are better at computer science as a whole?

what gives you any data to support it? cuz there are more men in it? women mentally have the capability to be just as good as men in computer science, programming, art/design etc etc. its not like its a physical feat that women cant compare to men in. to say that would be sexist cuz you basing your entire opinion on ones gender.

The problem is, if you go around telling people they will most likely fail at something, it will increase the chances of them actually failing.

So going around and stating stats that a certain demographic is most likely to fail, you are actually increasing their odds of failing... and it's obnoxious and kinda makes an ass out of you.

I read the mod's response, and by the looks of it, you made that thread for the sole (or at least main) purpose of pissing people off. The boards are meant to share ideas, not to see how many people you can agitate.
