So rather than release Karthus emote they make a Jinx one that show the same thing? Why?

Jinx already had 3 emotes, now she get 3 more. One of the new is the "Wahaha", showing Jinx laughing with tears. But guess what! An emote showing exactly this was already made, just not released! Why is it ok for Jinx to have 6 emotes while 96 champions have none? And don't tell me that "Jinx probably is the most expressive champion riot has". It's not true. Karthus and others can show emotins as well as she can and I dare to say even better as breaking the character with emotes is something I like a lot

I'd be less opposed to more Jinx emotes if they were star guardian theme.

Don't pay money for clip arts, ie the emotes.

So Riot will treat it as clip art and not some big money scheme.

Jinx is really popular and actually the champion with the most stable player base as it seems. Riot showed us a while ago that people always keep playing her, doesn't matter if she is weak or strong right now, people just love her as a character.

So yeah, it's probably because Jinx just sells extremely well.

About breaking character: don't most emotes follow the personality of a champion? I think it works better that way, because we will always associate specific expressions and emotions with specific champions.

Can you give me some examples in the current emotes who actually don't fit or even break the character of a champion?

Don't get me wrong, I really love Jinx. She even holds a special place in my heart as the first champion I tried to learn how to play. My very first skin was for her. This is just unjust though. If they already had one made for Karthus, they should have just released it. I'd even argue that it looks better than the jinx one. Jinx didn't need more emotes and there are plenty of people who like Karthus. I also agree with OP that the emotes that break character are great because they always give me a laugh and/or a smile. :D

Edit: And I get down voted even though I agreed with OP because I mention that I love Jinx. I even said giving her more emotes and not giving Karthus his is unjust. People would rather not read the whole thing I guess.

I honestly hate emotes. I unbound the button and didn't bother replacing it. I mean honestly, they need to fix their servers, champion balance, and their matchmaking balance before they even begin to think about adding new content. But alas, Riot is a cashgrab company, not a company that cares about the consumer.

I think its pretty depressing that Jinx gets that emote when Karthus' is endlessly much better and Jinx's just looks like absolute shit.

Funny how a game can collapse BOTH gameplay-wise AND visually at the exact same time.

The only champions that express emotion physically are Poppy, Tristana, and soon to be Nunu. So we need more emotes of them.

I think they could still add the Karthus emote in the future (even if not this patch), because in my opinion they aren't exactly the same thing.

When I see that crying/laughing Jinx emote, I think of 'that was so hilarious I'm crying', while the Karthus one was sort of like (cheesy analogy incoming, you've been warned) that proud, teary eyed smile a mother has when watching their child perform in a school play or something of that sort. It was even called 'Go get 'em', so that's pretty much the feeling it was going for.

Jinx gets 4 emotes, 3 alternate versions of them coming at some point and 4 emotes on the boards

MonkeyKing get's one emote... and it's the only bundle exclusive emote in the game...

It's because 1. Jinx is the most popular NA champion and 2. Literally "Jinx probably is the most expressive champion riot has." She's a insane psychopath who's main character traits are her craziness and unpredictability. She's a Loose Cannon, so any emotion would fit her.

All of these were created some time ago and never released. Aside from the Ezreal one their quality is on par with the current emotes on live and i see no reason not to release them. These are also only the ones i count as actual emotes that are worth using and not just a meaningless image.

And just to set this straight Jinx has 4 emotes now, not 6 or 5 like i've seen some people say. If you're gonna tell me that's still too much, don't. Idc honestly, just making that clear. Even she has a canceled emote.
