Grasp of the Undying should show how much health you got, not how many times you used this rune

Grasp of the Undying has an attribute that not many players remember or care about. It gives permanent bonus health points for every use at 4 stacks. 5hp for melee and 3hp for ranged champions. But this bonus health is not displayed anywhere. In the UI you can see how much damage you've dealt, how much you've healed and how many times you have used this rune. Yes if you for example used it 5 times you can multiply it by how much health you get every use and you will know how much bonus health points you got. But why is that? Why not show it right away in the UI? What use there is for me from the information that I've used Grasp of the Undying X times?

Why is this even important when all it takes is a little bit of math to figure it out.

Same thing for aftershock. I was using it on Pyke and tried to see how much damage it was mitigating in-game and got how much damage it dealt... I would have used electrocute if I cared about that...

I don't really think the HP gain matters that much. This rune is used to win simple trades through sustain. Even if you are a melee champion, you need 30 autos on the enemy laner to gain 400 gold worth of HP. The sustain part is more important to show than the HP gain part. Showing both would just put too many numbers, which you do not want to analyze in a game.

It feels like it should be the most obvious change imaginable... but so does most things that should change about the resolve tree. I'm pretty sure Riot already had a meeting dictating that they aren't caring about the Resolve tree this season, the difference in attention between it and say Precision is staggering.

I was going to write a joke comment about how I only have like 2 brain cells and can't be expected to do basic multiplication and play league at the same time, but reading the comment I realized that it's actually impossible to know how much health you gained from the rune to do champions like Jayce, Gnar, Nidalee, etc.

so uh

good post OP

Clarity is always a good thing

As said above, clarity is always good! I think this'll probably be useful when comparing it to other Runes in order to figure out what's most optimal and such. There's no reason not to give us all the information, after all!
