I literally got it, spent like 30 hours playing, though it had some potential but it was still in alpha, then forgot about it until some thing popped up about it.
Yeah it has been like 5 years since the game was in any kind of news, updates or basically anything. My hopes are not high but it could surprise me by being decent.
Yeah the dev had been posting random update news on twitter every 6 months - 2 years but never pushed those updates to live because he was too much of a perfectionist. There's some other reasons the updates weren't pushed that you can read in his blog but it's a tad touchy so I'm not going to go into it.
Trove filled a similar niche to what I was looking for but I still plan to play this release. I still have my old Picroma login info so here's hoping it's still fun.
