it is funny if you've been following meme culture for like a decade, made more funny by the mainstream news going crazy over it. is it objectively funny in isolation? not at all, but with the cultural backdrop (if you care to observe it) it becomes bery funny. and no, the memers using it are rarely observing the overriding culture but hey, no one really is.
