That way, people will actually be able to play and check out the new champions when they go on live instead of dealing with everyone dodging and banning them.
To clarify since multiple people have tried to say Riot's not bringing it back because of the voting system -- I know this, that's why the only champion people would be able to play is the new one.
Blizzard is also smart enough to disable new champs in competitive for the first week

PSA: Riot wants One for All back, but they need to re-do the entire voting system for the new client. That's the only thing holding back the mode, literally.
I'd trio queue and vote for ivern every game.
They won't do it because every time they make a new champion they have to patch their compatibility with a gamemode, they don't really design a champion ignitially with the plan of it being in rotational gamemodes so they often have tons of gamebreaking elements with certain interactions.
For example, kindred was never made with the belief of there being more then one on a team, and thus they had to work on some bugs when multiple kindreds are on the same team due to passive interactions, before they end up in a gamemode like OFA.
They'd have to make it compatible with the new client first. Don't worry though, they've (apparently) been at it for over a year now so they maybe kinda possibly might have it ready by this time next year.
I can get behind this idea.
This would be an excellent excuse to release the mode.

Overwatch does this with variations in their arcade modes, and it's really nice to get to practice someone new, and learn to play as, with, and against them. They had 6v6 Doomfist only for his release. There's 6v6 No limits up now with Moira's release.

Seriously. Or at least make it so the new champ can't be banned for a week or something. Super annoying to have to dodge every game today because everyone is banning the new champ.
I do agree that a system like this needs to be added for the main reason of the missions for this new champion. Not everybody is going to be able to complete this quest because of banning, people autolocking and dodging. If we had a one for all for the new champion, we could get their missions done faster since it seems that riot is pumping out missions for every new champion
I'll upvote anything that asks for URF, OFA, or Hexakill. The problem is that it's never gonna happen. Riot hates 'the big 3'. They impact queue times for ranked, and Riot only wants us playing LC$ Simulator. They feed us a steady dose of bad RGMs to hurry us back into playing LC$ Sim.
Then we are insulted with silly excuses about how it's harder to get popular RGMs to the new client, or that 'playing it less makes you enjoy it more'(while promoting ranked SR, a game that is built on playing a single 5v5 map for 8 years lol). They throw this torch of garbage out in hopes that the white knights, apes, and 'dude I work with new clients, and I can tell you....' guys will run with it.
League was created from DoTA, which was a custom game in WC3. If Blizzard would have limited custom games to RGMs and only allowed us to play DoTA once a year, LoL or mobas would never have been born. It's bullshit that a game created from custom games locks it's custom games in a vault.
I enjoy URF, OFA, and Hexakill so much that I'd pay a sub to have them permanent. The only reason that I don't spend money here anymore is because we as customers aren't given the option to play them, and lied to about why.

Because there is a lot of variation.
Not a guarantee you'll get the new champion, you may be stuck with something you don't like.
Although I do agree it sucks people can't play new champs, even in normals they seem to be banned every game!
This is such a good idea.
However, Riot could see people who would "abuse" it by using it as a way to play her without buying (which frankly to me is no different than in a few weeks during a free week). Also, I would worry people would dodge if others didn't pick the new champ or otherwise try to troll it. Would be a better solution than all these dodges and instalocks currently going on.
or you can just use the Practice tool. It's there for a reason.
Do you mean everyone can only play 1 champ for 1 whole week? What about people who do not like that champ or do not want to play it? Thats torture. If it is a separate game mode where only that champion can be played is fine, but forcing people to play 1 champ for a week is not ok.
