I want this feature so I can mute these champs specifically:
All of these champs have really annoying voices and lines that I'd feel better not hearing. Every time Zoe and Yuumi say something after they kill me, it makes me want to strangle them.
I had an ARAM once where i was Nasus and whenever the Yuumi jumped to me it was "Ugh! You smell like dog!"
"Ugh! You smell like dog!" "Ugh! You smell like dog!" "Ugh! You smell like dog!" "Ugh! You smell like dog!" "Ugh! You smell like....."

Whenever I play as Rakan with a Xayah, I'm tearing my hair out.
New Ashe also has me yelling "SHUT UP" at her a lot.
Sadly the only way to mute champion voices is to mute all voices so that's your best option right now =/
Yes please there are certain champs who have insanely annoying voices / sound effects that I never want to hear 
specifically.
I want to mute all those reworks and recent VO upgrades victims. For example, i can't stand Ashe's new voice over and her never ending lines.

actually add the option to mute emotes or the stuid mastery emotes. ppl use it to BM. i want to smack those ppl so hard across the face.

I just wish I could mute yuumi W, on aram its a F'ing pain: * sparkle zing sparkle zing sparkle zing* as the magic rat spams W between allies for no reason.

Because someone spamming the same words 50 times adds to League overall and makes people want to return.
If you mute a player, it mutes all communications from that champion as well, if i remember correctly.
Have upvote I play the game without sound because I get distracted by this stupid voice lines of some champions for years ... play the game without any sound in the last 5 seasons because that is not the option.
its true about ashe, she used to be one of my favorite adcs but now i really can't stand to play her with her new vo. they really missed the mark there :c
IF I recall correctly you can simply by muting that enemy player.
(Not the interface mute /all has to be manually done through Tab)
This, so much this, some champions voices just drive me absolutely insane. Ezreal, Zoe, Singed's stupid laugh, Gnar, Annie, Neeko, Yuumi. Lux...probably some others I cant think of right now but I fucking hate their voices so much.
I find that annoying voices can actually tilt me and make me play worse...I want to be able to mute certain champions so much.
Just turn off champion voices. I have them off in LATAM cause I can't stand the Spanish dub so I just play without voices. It's strangely engaging. Lets you focus a lot more, not gonna lie.

I hate fighting Yasuo if only because of the sheer amount of noise pollution.
