Am I the only one here who doesn't give a damn about Teamfight Tactics?

Sorta ranting, really just sad.

Now that we have been stripped of Twisted Treeline, we literally have 2 options left.

Summoners Rift and Aram.

This is so fucking stale when you take away RGM and say "We hope to have a much more successful 2020". You won't have success if you take away more modes and force Tactics down our throats.

I miss what League used to be before they went after solely the $$$

Given they have a pile of new games they're working on, I don't think you have to look far to figure out why League is getting less attention and why they're trying to focus their work on the game more. Not everyone is working on these projects of course, but they need man power to make these new projects happen. And ironically TFT being mobile compatible means its one of those projects.

RGM is dying so LoR, TFT, the Shooter, the Fighter, the Wild Rift, ect can all be made. League is pretty much only SR, ARAM, and occasionally an easy to host mode like URF. Riot has already told us that we won't see projects like Invasion or Odyssey, and despite it being an easy to make mode Blood Moon doesn't have the playrate to justify it coming back. Ascencion and Poro King were modes we were getting for a couple years but they've also suffered poor playrates.

When it comes down to it Riot would rather have the would be RGM teams working on other projects. Though its also worth noting the main game staff isn't reducing by much. You might see a lot going into TFT, but the mode only has 5 people on the gameplay staff. The art staff is probably shared with the general skin staff, and given most Little Legends are reskins and most models are reused assets assuming there's a handful of people working on TFT assets as well. So this mode is being ran by a minuscule amount of people.

Compared to something like Odyssey where there was a bunch of high quality skins and an animated cinematic and way more complicated mechanics with augments, they had to have had a higher budget for that than TFT. And it was deemed unpopular by Riot, when you look at the numbers though even URF gets dwarfed by TFT. Its a no brainer from a business perspective even if its not good for players who like RGMs.

There is nothing wrong with them promoting TFT. It's their new gamemode that is super popular, ofc they will try and make money from it. It's not like they have completely forgotten about SR.
