Bring back unskilled too
It doesn't have to do anything, I just need something to make me feel better after seeing my teammates feed :)
I actually liked what Unskilled used to do. Having a way for players to basically poke the MMR system and say "hey, you done fucked up, this guy don't belong here" was cathartic at least, even if it didn't do too much.
there needs to be a thing in ranked where you get a chance to redo your MMR by getting put with 4 other people who want to as well, then queueing up against diamonds/plats/whatever.

Make it at the cost of your league.
If you try a challenge, you drop one whole rank down. Not silver 1 to 2, no, all the way from silver down to Bronze. And the qualification is your MMR needs to be significantly higher than your rank.
That way everyone isn't trying to challenge instead of playing actual ranked.
But then every Bronze player would do it, as they have nothing to lose. Silver players too.
Only Gold+ players stand to lose something in that system.
if you would drop below b5 you are lvl 1 again
Edit: With runes/masteries, but you cant queue up for ranked until 30 again

That sounds nice, but only every 6 months you get one redo. Otherwise it's a broken system. It could fix your MMR dramatically or kill it.
Once per season. Not split. SEASON.
Lol nice, I could see that being like a placebo effect. Does nothing, but just makes you feel a little better, like venting.

It did actually slightly lower the MMR of the player in question, I believe.

IIRC this was only true waaaay in the beginning; they changed it not to do anything before the tribunal was removed, even.

Frankly I just want the Tribunal back not to get people banned, but I enjoyed reading the chat logs. Some of them were extremely funny.
I mean, if you're blaming your teammates, then your MMR is going to go down a little bit anyway.
Better yet, make it do something. If someone is racking up unskilled reports, something is probably going on. Perhaps boosting, maybe trolling, or even that bullshit where people try something for the first time in a ranked game without ever having practiced it in normals. Either way, all three are actual issues that actually need to be dealt with.
So much yes.
Back in the day, I was dropping "Unskilled Player" reports left right and center in ranked.
Why? Because they either tried 1v5'ing as a squishy Support, or they were a tank who ran away from a 2v1 that could have been an easy kill. Along with plenty of other variations, but I HIGHLY doubt I need to get into the shit scrubs do on League.
Honestly, Riot needs to stop censoring free speech. I have the right to say what I want and there shouldn't be consequences for speaking my mind. If a player is trolling or int'ing then they deserve to be cussed out. I don't know who Riot is but my rights to speak my mind should be preserved. Honestly, get rid of chat. I shouldn't lose a thousand dollar account because chat is enabled by default. Add an option to disable chat by default.
You're free to say whatever you want.
But riot is not obliged to host you and can trash your account for anything you've ever said on it.
I mean, what would you do if you invited someone to your house and that piece of shit started talking shit to you and others? Probably kick him out right? Same thing here.
no, you would remember for the future to take him somewhere where that kind of thing would be OK and with people who would accept it.
What? No, you would kick him the fuck out of your house and never bother with him again.
not when they are a friend. and for me those are the only people I would invite to my house
Also, if that was the case, you probably don't know them well enough and should not have invited them over in the first place.
You miss that this is a comparison with LoL. Riot games doesn't know you, but you are still invited to join their servers.
So basically you mean that Riot should ask a psychologist about your profile before offering you an account?
Doesn't work. You are a guest on Riot games servers. If you misbehave, you get a warning. If you still do, you get kicked out.
no, you would remember for the future to take him somewhere where that kind of thing would be OK and with people who would accept it.
Why would you even want to be around someone who talks trash about you and everyone close to you to begin with? Let alone using brainpower and effort to take said person elsewhere just to let them trash on you and everyone close to you even more.
some people get sick of being around pussies. its also never in a serious sense, and it depends on who they are, too.
Good point. Why would you play League of Legends when there are toxic people on it? Respond to your own logic.

Not everyone is toxic in this game. I've met many awesome random people. The instance I've mentioned is when you meet a jackass and then spend quality time with them, which is something nobody would willingly do. In League, you have no choice but to stick through a game whether you like the people in it or not.
Think outside the box. Or in this case outside of the game. This world still has decent people.
So, according to your logic, the other guy's entire line of insults towards me are faulty? Thanks. I love it when people win my battles for me.

Are you actually reading what I'm saying or are you just making things up out of the blue lol. Insults being faulty? What? My entire point is "Don't hang out with jackasses." Is that too hard to understand or is your God complex not allowing you to comprehend that?

There's a difference between what is said and how it's said. Telling someone they aren't playing well and offering positive support, constructive statements and trying to improve the game for everyone is ok. Telling someone to kill themselves because they "suck" is not, and never will be, ok.
A policy of deescalation should be how we all deal with angry people, both in real life and on the internet. When someone is in your face yelling, the natural response is to yell back. But if you keep your calm and work to resolve the actual problem, the other person usually calms down and becomes much more reasonable too. In games, in life - this works everywhere, but it does take practice and maturity.

I'm not saying change what you mean, I'm suggesting changing how you say it.
Instead of saying "hey idiot, you keep dying, play under tower or I'll report you for inting" try something a bit less inflammatory like "I know you're having a hard time, so try to stay under tower and the jungler will try to gank you more to help"
See how they both say the same thing - stay under tower - but one is way less likely to tilt someone more? One offers a solution on how to work through the issue, the other is just threats and belittling a player who is already having a bad time.
Can you site the source where I said at any point that is how I treat my team mates? Could you do that for me?
There really isn't much point - in the first place your previous comments have been deleted, which prevents me from quoting any relevant passages. Secondly, I never claimed you did say anything of the sort to your teammates, and the context of my previous posts indicates the "you" that was used is the neutral objective form.
Woah you were so right telling me that I didn't do something perfectly that time, you showed me!
This is just a game, crymea

When in defeat, feign disinterest. Raises class of lipton ice tea Keep thine fragile ego safe.
So the circumstances keep constantly changing each time a point is debated and argued down? Yeah that's smart Never lose an argument! Just always keep refocusing your points whenever one gets shot down. Man you're cool.
Woah, talking about something that is stupid to do.
But what if that person you invited over was right Like, they talk shit to you and your other guests but... blah blah more nonsense blah blah completely changing what we are talking about blah blah more bullshit.
Woah doing the same thing himself.
Keep thine fragile ego safe buddy.

how do people not understand this concept? [zombie-brand-facepalm]
Freedom of speech (from the First Amendment of the US Constitution, assuming you are an American) actually doesn't give you the right to say anything you want. It specifically only protects your right to criticize the government. Saying the President doesn't know what he's doing is protected - he can't punish you for saying that. Walking into my house and badmouthing me, with or without reason, is not protected. Granted, I can't assault or harm you for it because there are laws against beating people up, but I can remove you from my property or call the cops to do so for me.
The game is a similar situation to the second scenario - Riot allows you to use their servers provided you abide by the Terms of Use, which do state that excessive language is bannable. Since you log on, you agree to the terms of use, and therefore enter into a social contract with Riot that exceeds. replaces, and otherwise modifies your natural freedoms. If you can't control yourself enough, then perhaps this game isn't for you.

Although, unfortunately, the current one doesn't seem to understand this.

Source for your Feedom of speech facts?
The Constitution and Bill of Rights? Has anyone actually read the First Amendment?
^ There are also exceptions even when it comes to government. Public schools are part of the government, but they can restrict your speech if it interrupts the education of others.
Again, Freedom of Speech does not allow you to say whatever you want, whenever you want. Also, entering a school enters you into a social contract with the school community (teachers, students, staff, etc), which modifies what you are allowed to do (generally by giving up some personal freedoms for the good of the many)
I don't know why you repeated your statement, I was agreeing with you. And you just restated what I said.
Sorry, read that as a counterpoint instead of agreement.
