I mean. The icons aren't directly related to Yasuo or Riven- by themselves they're just generic fire/light demon/angel themed icons. The wards too.

^This. I used Yasuo icons solely because I liked the color/theme of his summoner icons more, not because I like Yasuo. If the rewards were the same for both sides, then I would have supported Riven because she doesn't bother me as much as Yasuo does personally.

I don't understand why people hate yasuo. well ok I understand why they find his gameplay annoying - but IMO yasuo is actually relatively easy to beat when you play verses him enough times. he still gets tricks i didn't expect - and that I find exciting. I LIKE playing against yasuo compared to other champions, 'cause when he outplays me it's a legit outplay. I'm impressed. he got a lot of damage and mobility? so what. as Ashe , EVERYONE has a lot of damage and mobility lol. it's par for the course as far as I see it. my responsibility is learning the enemy's capabilities, and figuring out how to beat them with quality positioning and strategic mapmovements alone. plus being super fed if the enemy botlane are noobs xD

how often do you see panth in higher tiers or pro play? he is one of the best pub stompers but he become's useless if played against right.

Don't die to him in lane. Give up farm. Play safe. Build tank. Respect his early damage. He will out-damage nearly everyone and everything early and his kit is impossible to mess up. It's almost all targeted. Just accept that he wins lane by existing and do all you can to farm up under tower, avoid being tower-dove and getting shit stomped.

Wait a while. Pantheon becomes less and less useful as the game goes on. If he doesn't get a huge lead and start snowballing, he will struggle to matter. He will likely try to roam with his ult if you give him nothing in lane. The moment he leaves, hard shove and take tower, then group with your team.

The longer the game goes, the more Pantheon sucks. Stop him from snowballing early, and then try to stall the game out if his team is ahead come mid game. Unless your whole team is awful come late-game... play for late game. He'll run outta gas eventually, and the less of an early lead he gets the sooner it'll be before he's not as much of a factor on the game as he should be.

Often enough in dia and there is currently a 1000 LP Pantheon/Nunu two-trick.

"avoid being tower-dove" yeah that's the problem, people start counterganking and towerdiving with a minion crash dive. Also funny is that Pantheon's Q doesn't trigger minion aggro so he is able to just push a lane without being able to get ganked due to his jungler matching yours, then the lane pushes to you and he will freeze.

And I know that he gets outscaled..

When he towerdives you with his ultimate and he's automatically kept outside of your tower's range. It's not an out play, it's a broken mechanic that needs to be fixed.

I only find two things about his kit that are nonsensical. one is the windwall's hitbox on spawn and on end, the animation is counter intuitive to that behavior, and also if he's standing in front of windwall it still blocks projectiles. the other is what you've mentioned. the rest of his kit - high mobility, crit passive? fine whatever. lots of champs do great things too. it's pretty easy to beat a yas by my books. he isn't all that oppressive

I went with Order purely because of the icon and the vague chance I might actually get to play riven. Yasuo is one of THE most banned champions in the league right now, hovering at around ~60% ban. What's the point in investing in a champion I will never be able to play?

Personally I went with Riven just because I can't stand playing against/with toxic Yas mains that blame me for not following up on his 1v4/1v5. Riven players may be salty and toxic, but at least some of them don't blame the team for their failures.

And I wanted Hextech Annie.. xD

The real reason he won is that people actually hate Riven more, it's just that she isn't nearly as played as he is. That's what I realized when this event started, I'd rather support him than her and I thought I hate him more than anything.
