I hope one day games get rid of the idea of truly Limited Skins.
Let me explain.
Currently I have every skin I want on League. But I was browsing other games and looking at characters I liked and realized If I ever wanted to try them there are skins I'll never be able to get, even if I devote years of my life to the character. Maybe this doesn't bother some people but I feel like having Limited Skins just makes people who love that character have a constant chip on their shoulder, a Constant reminder that they will never be able to get it. And the idea that it's somehow more rewarding to older players is just nonsense. I'm one of those older players who has some limited skins and because I actually have empathy for people, I feel like I can't even use them in game cause I don't want to be the guy to have to break the news to players who ask me "how do I get that skin" I hate that, I hate when that happens in League and I hate the idea that if I grow to Love a character in another game the same thing would happen to me.
Riot doesn't have to protect players "sense of accomplishment" from having a "limited" skin. If a player devotes years worth of their time to a character in League or anything else they should have the chance to get anything for that character. And if some other player takes offense to that, then they are selfish and should be ignored. There's a lot of good ways Riot could allow dedicated players to get Vaulted skins that don't break their rarity, Million mastery milestones for example. But there are ways and Riot should lead the way for it.
