What tools does Riot use to collect feedback? Do they use them?

~~ Disclaimer ~~ This post is not meant to insult anyone. If you feel insulted let me know and I will edit accordingly.

Many players are complaining that they aren't been heard by Riot. I believe this is because nobody can see actual tools being used. The tools visible are rare and few in number. For example, I know the use survey questions now and then when you log in the game. However, i don't think that is enough. Does riot use any other tools?

I believe the following would be good tools:

  • Exit survey from players who have left LOL.
  • Surveys they collect from active players now and then.
  • Statistics showing how many players are playing compared to previous patches (i.e. comparing patches).
  • Social media and the board are some of the most valuable feedback sources for Riot. If they don't use this one and ignore it. They are losing serious money.

I'll tell you now they prioritize the league of legends reddit over their own boards.

Feedback about opinions and feelings and all that non-objective stuff is usually gotten through polls sent via email and in-client.

They have their own internal statistics for balancing and general opinions, though. They can't see why a mode is unpopular with stats, but they can see that it is, and then a poll can tell them why nobody likes it.

I like the game as it currently is, does my feedback not matter here or do you guys think there is only your pov in this world? maybe, just maybe, riot are getting more people saying yes than no to their changes.
