Just bought the "Majestic Empress Morgana (Heavenly Crane Chroma) + Icon reward ... and I only got an Icon. It seems that the wording of the gift implies you get a Chroma Skin + ( PLUS ) the icon ....

You only get the chroma for the skin, not the skin itself. Yeah the wording is bad, it is what it is.
You did get a Chroma skin though alongside the Icon, but in order to use it you must OWN the base skin (in this case being Majestic Empress Morgana).
