Pushed 3 Accounts into Gold This Season - Here is what I have learned.

Ýisus·6/6/2018, 6:01:37 PM·24 votes·12,185 views

Account 1: Gold 4 21 LP / 112W 90L Win Ratio 55% KDA: 11.2 / 6.0 / 4.9

Account 2: Gold 5 0 LP / 62W 35L Win Ratio 64% KDA: 9.6 / 5.8 / 4.7

Account 3: Gold 5 0 LP / 76W 63L Win Ratio 55% KDA: 9.6 / 5.8 / 4.2

  1. Your bot lane will determine the outcome of the game (almost every game)
  2. The bot lane that pushes during the first 15 minutes will more than likely feed - and lose.
  3. Know Your Jungle! - Is your JG a hard carry? If so don't expect ganks early - let him farm. Is your JG a utility champ? If so, set up ganks.
  4. Decide what you want ... to win or to have fun. If you want to win - farm at your tower... I know it's boring, but it wins games.
  5. The Best Counter to any champion is to play the champion you are best at. Stop trying to counter pick the enemy team - you are not a pro player. Play what you are best at.
  6. Your ranked champion pool should be no more than 8 champions. 3 champions for your main role. 3 champions for your secondary role. 2 champions for support autofill.
  7. Toxicity loses games ... but so does feeding. So if you want a less toxic team ... start playing like you want a less toxic team ( IE ... stop making stupid trades where you end up in a "waiting to respawn" screen.
  8. If your team is horridly behind - focus on the macro game.
  9. Your ward score IS a reportable offense. For Real.

Can I spam the upvote button multiple times for number 5?

I get yelled at constantly for picking the champions I have M7 in ( Janna Nami Sona Soraka Orianna ) when going up against a CC tank like Leona Alistar Blitzcrank Thresh

But

I have practiced kiting like a motherfucker because I know how MY CHAMPS work. I've seen teams grab Thresh to 'counter' me and heard the flames from miles away because he can't land a Q and I'm a measly little Sona.

Countering a champ is not so much about the kit as it is your ability to work with a given champion.

I think you need to add

  1. Understand that not all games are winnable.

OMG #5 is so spot on.

I can't tell you how many times as a silver/gold player myself, that I see people bitch and complain about other's picks or "gg we lose, no tank", "gg we lose, too much AD", "gg we lose, too much AP". I am going to safely say that 90% of the scrubs that say that in lower elo chat, are ALWAYS the ones that end up feeding...and then it never fails, they say in /all chat, "report <fill in champ here>. didn't pick tank top"

"Farming at turret" shouldn't be your default... you only play passive and farm at turret if it's your best option. Otherwise you're not playing your champ to its limits.

Ok sure but why6/6/2018, 6:45:24 PM2 votes

I just wish everyone on my team realized this

You got #5 a bit wrong. Rather than picking a "counter" or what you're best at, you have to pick the most OP meta champ.

No, you're wrong. Bot lane does not decide the game most games. I played basically only Udyr into gold with a 75% win rate.

Did the same thing except one account in plat and one that was bronze 5 that i took to silver 1.

Honestly silver 3 is such a hell hole I feel bad for people at this elo, the games aren't fun, and sometimes I can't even carry. Honestly riot needs to add another other division between bronze and silver like they said they would, it's gonna make the games more balanced i think.

They are just too many people in silver elo right now to get a proper depiction of skills imo. Because you need to atleast have the skill of high gold/low plat to carry in silver, some of my casual friends find it really annoying and it makes them want to quit the game, not taking in account all the issues this season.

Is number 9 an actual reportable offense? I've gone games where people end a thirty min game with a total of two wards placed, and complain when they die from enemy jungler camping due to them constantly pushing the wave to enemy turret.

Vekkna6/7/2018, 3:06:58 PM1 votes

1 and 4 are incompatible. If 1 is true, you shove and roam to snowball your bot. If 4 is true, you're letting your enemy laner roam to bot while you farm under turret. Ergo, unless you're ADC, you shouldn't be farming under turret.

I've been winning a lot this patch, and there are lots of /all comments like "this fucking Zyra is never in her own lane!" I just shove waves constantly and gank side lanes. If I see a jungler camping bot, I'll clear their fucking camps. If they're top, I'll just sneak a dragon or dive their bot lane.

Meanwhile, the enemy mid is sitting there farming under turret and has no idea they're single-handedly losing the game.

Do you think this observation about bot lane is still true after the adc nerfs?
