My friend once got a 14 day ban for moving in with a friend temporarily and continuing to play, I have just moved myself for a temporary time and I don't want the same happening to me. You don't get a 14-day ban for moving.
The worst that could happen from traveling is a shield ban if Riot mistakenly thought your account was compromised. But this would give a permanent ban (until you fixed the problem), not a 14-day.

You should be fine. I've gone to my friend's house to sleep over and used her computer to play League multiple times. Nothing has ever happened to my account. She lives semi-close, so it's not like the distance was super long, but still, nothing happened. You could also use a VPN.
You're fine. I know multiple people who have to relocate regularly for military work and Riot has never banned their accounts. If they think your account is being boosted they do a much more thorough investigation than just the location you log in from. Maybe your friend got banned for talking shit in chat and just didn't want to confess to it.
