Watched an episode of Little Witch Academia. Here's my thoughts.
So, here I am at home sick, and I'm looking through the shows I need to watch. I then remembered LWA is on Netflix, so I got some food and settled down for one of the highest-praised animes my friends talk about.

deep breath
I personally couldn't wait for it to be over after 5 minutes.

Now here's the thing: I adored this anime during the first couple minutes. The art style is unique, the presentation was amazing, and the protagonist was adorable.
... And then the protagonist got older.

This. This chick right here. This completely innocent-looking, happy girl right here? This is everything I hate in a protagonist.
Loud. Dimwitted. Annoying. Powerless until she discovers le hidden OP power within her. Never shuts up. Thinks everyone wants to be her friend.
Never shuts up.
She ain't even innocent. She almost causes the other two more interesting -- and relatable -- characters to get expelled/die because she guilt-trips one and "PLS MY STUFF!!" Then when she gets rightfully betrayed because she's a selfish idiot, plot-armor gives her every right to make it out alive with the OP staff we see at the beginning.
Oh, and she arrives in the ceremony like, "YAYYY!! WE MADE IT!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!"
I'm fine with this sort of character only being a minor character, but nope. She's the protagonist, meaning she'll get the most screentime. I just can't.
She ain't even that cute.

At least the side characters are nice though. That ends my "review" of LWA. ^^
