Dem Azir nerfs
Pretty harsh don't you think?

They basically took the knockup (which was only really used sparingly anyway) and added more dmg to his soldiers. Now you just stack AP and shred people with the spears. Rabadons + Luden's is a very scary item combo on him now.
Azir's winrate didn't even twitch over those "pretty hard nerfs".
My issue is that is W's bonus doesn't apply til you put another point in
I think the knock up was a pretty important part of Azir's kit. It is a shame that they removed it. Much harder to land the E+Q+ult combo now since people flash or run away when they see you coming in. Sometime they even stun when you landed. I honestly do think this is the wrong nerf to azir. They should reconsider reverting the nerf and nerf something else.

That combo was bad for Azir's power budget. I made him about jumping on people and blowing them up, instead of rewarding smart positioning and Area Denial. Since they made the bonus AS on the W start at 20%, at lvl 1, you have more bonus AS now then "pre-nerf". Now I, insead of Maxing Q first, I only put 2-3 points in it during laning phase and then Max his W ASAP to get the 60% attack speed [Higher than the max 50% bonus AS from CDR that his old passive had]. Since I don't have to worry about CDR as much, I can just rush a Chalice, then finish a Rabadon's + Luden's and get people to 50% health with 3 spear attacks.
The more I look at it, that "Hard Nerf" may have actually been a nice buff.
It wasn't really a buff since his carry potential was already there. They nerfed his poke hard, and for some reason whenI had W ranked up, I wasn't receiving a 20% at speed buff.
the intent was to put his potential on his W but that can make it pretty awkward.
I do like the idea of putting 2 to 3 points in q, then dumping them in w.
