I've said it before, BC is godly on Riven.
If Riven Koreans are building it then I think it's safe to say it's a good item on Riven.
At least 25% armor shred easily stacked on a whole team or a carry helps your ADC delete everyone, especially AoE ADCs.

kJs1 votesSome Riven players are convinced that Riven brings nothing to the team, as if she impacts the game as much as a fed Master Yi. She brings a lot of disruption and AoE damage, BC helps her do it harder, giving her team more damage per se.
I think most Rivens realise that BC is such a good item on her though, so they can catch up.

kJs1 votesYeah, the point is, some Riven players think that she impacts teamfights like Master Yi when she has massive disruption (CC) to help her team mates get kills. Many Rivens intrinsically play Riven selfishly believing that she brings nothing other than pure damage to a fight.
Master Yi and Riven are great champion when they get fed, although they shouldn't be treated the same way. Riven can be infinitely more useful than Master Yi in general situations.

You can buy Black Cleaver, Ionian Boots, and reach the 40% CDR cap (thogether with masteries)
OR you can buy Black Cleaver, Youmuu's Ghostblade, and reach the 40% CDR cap with runes and masteries. This allows you to use boots other than Ionian Boots. This can be useful against teams that have a lot of CC and you need to use Mercury's Treads against them.

And good in matchups in which you dont want to go ham anyway and want the hp ( renekton for example). But overall you are delaying your powerspike a bit, if you can get ahead early brut into tiamat into lw is still better.
