Who thinks Vayne and Lucian she be listed as Allies?

They are both monster hunters. One is an Undead Hunter, specifically against Shadow Isles characters such as Thresh, Karthus, Hecarim, Mordekaiser, Yorick, maybe even Sion. The other is a Night Hunter, specifically against "humans turned to evil" monsters like Vladimir, Warwick, I guess Sion and Dr. Mundo.

They would make an amazing pair.

I could totally see Vayne and Lucian being part of the same caste of Demacians who defend the world against the occult and evil. In fact, this would be a brilliant opportunity to expand the lore of Demacia as a whole by exploring these characters a little more. Beyond Lucian's revenge against Thresh, we know very little about him - and even less about Vayne. I want to know their purpose in the society they live in, and why they would have chosen a life like this.

In all seriousness, I never knew why they weren't. I assume Lucian would consider any types of undead abominations, much like I'd assume that Vayne would lump zombies in with "vampires" and werewolves.

They totally have a theme going on, it's the same universe. Ghosts, undead, spirits, demons, draculas, vampires, werewolfs... all monsters in the eyes of humans.

They wouldn't be working together from start but their paths could totally cross.

Vayne reminds me a lot of Van Helsing (movie) :| in which there was an order who defended humanity against these beasts.

The only reasoning I can see here as to why they aren't allies is simply that they're both loners. They might acknowledge that the other is doing a good thing, and might even work together from time to time, but wouldn't really develop the friendship and camaraderie required to be considered friends or allies.

We always get "Evil taken by the mist" skins for Harrowing but no skins for the ones fighting the Harrowing

Bandle City Defense Force (Armed to the teeth with relic weapons) Caitlin/Vi/Ekko/Jinx - Piltover Guardians (The perfect mix of steampunk tech and magic relics) Heimerdinger/Jayce/Ashe/Jarvan/Swain/Azir - Strategy Group (Group suit of autorithy) Trundle/Darius/Sion/Jax/Galio/Poppy/Nasus - Front Line Enforcers (Ready to take the mist head on in full runic armor)

Yes I know some of these mixes are not from allies (I know Ekko is from Zaun), but these skins were to show how, in the Harrowing, everyone put their differences aside to save the world Even to villains (they can't conquer the world if there is no world to conquer)

One big war of epic proportions, one that would change Runeterra forever

I see Vayne and Lucian like Warhammer inquisitors. Vayne the Witch Hunter of Hordo Hereticus, and Lucian as the Malleus/Xenos Inquisitor. Different techniques but same goal after all, get rid of evil.

Both seem more like the solo types. Could see a teamup along with other characters who fend off the forces of darkness if needed (like Karma maybeh), but as you said they have their own independant goals. Not partners, could be more like drinking buddies tbh like Batman/Superman cafe.

A: [RiotRunaan]You're right, they are very similar on a base thematic level ("hunters of evil"), but they're essentially two sides of the coin - think of it in terms of darkness and light. Lucian and Senna hunted evil with its natural opposite, righteous magic intended to destroy corruption. They were also protectors; their motivation hinged on saving innocents in need as much as it did purging corruption. They were beloved heroes. Vayne, on the other hand, is more of the Batman of Runeterra - she's hell-bent on destroying the supernatural, but she is not afraid of using underhanded methods and turning the darkness against itself. Her methods are not always smiled upon by greater society. Personally, the similarities between them alongside the subtle differences are a really interesting opportunity for future interaction. They wouldn't get along, but they'd share incredibly similar goals - perhaps they'll end up reluctantly fighting a common threat one day. Who knows?

Lucian and Vayne are fundamentally not allies based on the differences in their philosophies. Batman and the Punisher aren't allies, even though they share similar goals, because their methods of effecting change are so opposed to one another. I could see Lucian and Vayne being acquaintances, and perhaps giving information to one another every so often, but allies? Definitely not.

Lucian and Vayne would be allies the same way Krillin and Goku are allies. They're technically on the same side but we all know who's actually getting things done.

In all seriousness who knows? I think there might be some ego issues. Lucian lost someone close to him. Senna was a hunter too. Vayne just seems like a loner. I think they'd be afraid of having attachments, even professional ones.

They're just as likely to have conflicting ethics or morals or practices or that they could have big egos and get in each other's way.

It's a bit presumptuous to assume that just because they fulfil similar roles they'd be Allies.

Heck, Demacia and Noxus probably have mutual interests and they're polar opposites..

They could make a lore event where the two of them hunt for Elise

Or as one user suggested, make a skin set where Lucian uses crossbows and Vayne uses guns
