Jungle assassins - rework idea
More specifically, Nocturne.
Evelynn got reworked a while ago and is in a good spot.
Kahzix has never really been bad.
Rengar has had a few changes recently making him both fun and useful.
Nocturne has had a few buffs and it has increased his winrate a considerable amount but that doesn't necessarily mean his kit is good for conceptualizing the ideology behind the enternal nightmare.
His ult range is quite short. He is a dive assassin with no escape, has no invisibility. Doesnt have good base damage or stats (his q provides more dmg but base stats on dmg isnt high such as most fighters do nor does he have tankyness).
And similar to Leblanc and how people dont like the new leblanc nocturne is on a timer. What i mean is Leblanc now has a timer before she can one shot burst, (for "counterplay" purposes) riot plans on reverting that because it wasnt fun for players and was opposing the burst mage she was intended to be. Nocturne on the other hand, has a diving ability with no escape but on top of that has to keep up and chase a target for 2 seconds for a 1.25/1.5/1.75/2/2.25 second fear.
So first off, he is forced to try to keep up with champions, who nowadays, always have dashes, GA, Zhonyas or hourglass, or some form of untargetability, all in order to keep a short range tether.
Honestly, i dont think they should remove it, i believe there are things that can be done to make it work.
As mentioned, it is a rather small tether, and as a reward for getting the fear nocturne passively gains bonus movement speed towards feared targets... why?? Its short range and the chances are that if you got the fear off it also means you most likely had followed them using Q which also gives movement speed. The only other fears in the game (in which i can think of rn) are fiddlesticks and volibear... which are both junglers, so why does e give movement speed?
Why not make it so that nocturne deals %current hp, or %missing hp or just bonus dmg to movement impaired champions (or less op, to feared champions)
To give him an escape, similar to kayn have nocturne (who is flying and a ghost, who cannot get creep blocked when on Q) have the ability to walk through a wall when standing on Q. Now some people would argue that that is op, but that also means nocturne used Q to go through a wall for a gank and no longer has it for dmg.
It would help his clears and his pre 6 ganks, so he could gank where zac uses e next to blue tribush.
Nocturne would need to stay on the trail in order to be able to go through the wall. When he steps off he clips off the wall, such as kayn does when in combat.
Now, this next idea is OP but it is a thought i had so ill mention it.
(Without considering what was said above) Nocturne E, when a target feared by nocturne dies (during the fear). They cannot revive. (Anivia egg would not proc, aatrox passive would not proc, zac passive would not proc, GA would not proc but they wouldnt go on cooldown)
