Corki E should work like braum shield. Meaning he is constantly facing the same direction. However, there is one exception. Corki can change the direction his e is facing by using W.
Down side: Corki wouldnt be able to use E then W over/past his opponent and continue hitting them with E by turning around.
Pros: he'd have a better early game.
Sounds terrible tbh. Might be a cool idea for another champ but seems kinda oof on Corki.
W changing the direction makes it sound even worse btw. I'm assuming you mean he'd face the direction he went... which is usually through someone or away from someone.

Right now you can change his E direction at will and as many times as you want... With your idea you can only change E direction by using W. xD
Which is never useful except for the once in a million time that you are chasing someone who has 5% hp left... and you know no other enemy is near so you can waste your W... and for some reason your auto wouldn't be enough damage... and somehow you don't have mana for Q or R but you have mana for W.... Like....
