Syndra's design is STILL abject garbage...

She's built around her Q. The Q itself is fine, but the rest of her kit is based on manipulating her Q further to do damage.

The problem is her W is slow and unresponsive. The game always has to sit and think for 2 seconds so it can register that you grabbed an orb/minion/monster, and then it has to play the throwing animation for another 2 seconds, lock the animation clumsily to the hit box, and by that point your opponent is across the field doing other things.

Her E is great in theory, but the positioning required for a 1 second stun is ridiculous when you have so many other champions that have point and click stuns/roots with themselves as the pivot point, rather than pivoting on your orb as Syndra. Having to play around a stationary object instead of yourself is incredibly unfair.

How could Syndra be fixed?

For one, her W's code should be looked at and the cast time on both steps lowered for fluidity, especially in this fast paced damage meta.

Second, her E should be reworked into a better slow and knock back for the wave so it's less dependent on having an orb.

I mostly agree.

Syndra's Q and Q+E are fun. I like her theme too. The W feels wonky, and the ult is kinda boring considering how the rest of her kit are all skill shots: you do all these exciting little skill shots then press R to win. Her ult should be more of a high point.

She's a good candidate for a mini-update, lots of opportunity there.

She needs a new passive but let her basic abilities gain on max rank.

Champions like Akali, Urgot, Darius all get an ability that get an extra kick at max rank just for the fuck of it. Give Syndra the same treatment and give her a worthwhile passive. Like just have it so she can constantly move when casting abilities. It would make playing her so smooth. I know she does that already with her Q but it'd be much cooler to use her floating characteristic as a core element to her gameplay. Especially since she's supposed to be an unstoppable force of magic to be reckoned with, have her demonstrate it by not having to lock herself in place when she casts spells.

I will say I miss Syndra being able to reposition more than 1 orb when they did the MSMU. That was really cool but ended up being something you didn't really need to pull of the same effect.
