How did I go so long without picking him up? Ivern

His gameplay is fun, impactful, and there's tons of ways to build him. Def pick him up if you haven't.

I really like him but he just feels so bad to play since teammates don't understand how to play with him.

He has a morgana root, a shield that explodes after a bit, a minion ult, and can create bushes. What's not to know?

His fucking passive. The amount of times I spam take this buff to my teammates and nothing. Like they just ignore it and go to fucking lane like It's nothing.

Morg snare starts at 2s at base and 3s at max rank for snare duration. (11s CD)

Ivern is a 1.2s to a 2s snare duration that your teammates don't know that it can be used to close gaps. (14s CD to 10s)

His Daisy imo is weak if not used properly or there's a Nunu or Syndra in your game, and buggy as hell. Also, Ivern can be played as Daisy, depending on your playstyle. (Changes inc., maybe).

Ivern's W is neutral, so while it only lasts for a short duration, vision denial (in brush or Fog of War) on either side can change a fight or initiation.

He's also a low damage champion, support type jungler. You rely heavily on your teammates to carry and synergize with you. If you get invaded all game, and your team never comes to help, you're not going to have a good time since for the most part Ivern is not a very good 1v1 champion.

Also his passive.

And you take twice the abuse being a support AND a jungler.

Still my favorite champion despite being terrible at him.

I read his lore and want an original Ivern champ too.

If a tree falls in the jg and Ivern is there does it make a sound?

I love inting on him because all he says is "TIMBEEEEEEEEEER!" "TREE DOWN!"

Jokes aside...

Yeah he's a really funny Champion, his voicelines are funny, his gameplay is strange but satisfying.

He's a perfectly balanced enchanter. They dont work in the support role because they need gold for their shields and healing to scale and they dont work in solo lanes because they are zzzzz to play against because they just waveclear so they get nerfed (lulu karma). So the obvious place to put them is jungle.

He's really fun to play and he is the Easiest champion to soft int people with. Not that you should... But it's so easy to be both useful and useless with Ivern.

Totally agree. I'm shit at jungle but if I took more time to learn it I'd deffo be playing more Ivern. He lasts in fights which is fun and he's not entirely immobile/unable to defend himself. Daisy is lovely but her AI is rather weak.

I've found it's best just to ALT+Right click on a priority target and let her do her thing. Every third attack Daisy knocks up her target and people around them. Set her loose on a carry or mid assassin and mess up their DPS if nothing else. Leaves you to focus on shielding allies and rooting other targets.

All these Ivern lovers in this thread yet I haven't seen a single Ivern in a thousand games and I'm not being hyperbolic. I have played something like a thousand games this season across multiple accounts. I'm including all game modes too, even Co-op vs AI.

He's too easy to invade and make irrelevant.

Weak early game junglers are currently useless because jg as a role is all about early game snowballs and maintaining prio in skirmishes. If you can't contest objectives because you can't duel out your enemy jungler, you're screwed.

I'm not gonna lie unless your in a premade group this champ is useless, and just makes people banned. I really don't know what else to say he just gets abused by other players saying hes trash or in most cases dodging. Hes just to flimsy to play in any game other then with friends.

He was the first jungle-based champion I played. Loved him when I was learning the game, but I had to stop playing him for a reason.

For someone who's meant to be strong in the early game, he loses pretty much every 1v1 in the early game, and if your mid laner refuses to leave the center line of his lane, you will get demolished by counter jungling and counter-counter jungling. After all, as a support champion, he needs someone to fight with. Keep in mind that not all of your games will have your entire enemy team be inters

I haven't been playing him on SR in a while though, but I am glad that they at least made him permanently range, which was a really nice QOL change.

Ive got ONE really big problem with him. "Ivern and his allies can target enemies rooted by Rootcaller to dash to them" I always want to auto attack until i root some1, but he pulls himself close to the target while he is quishy as hell. So eventually this skill harms him. This dash should be removed, especially now that he is ranged.
