prediction: yuumi is going to do terrible at all levels of play unless she gets massive buffs

rubberduckie666··2 votes·2,743 views

all her numbers are extremely low, even among other enchanters and the bonuses her w gives does not even it out.

her passive is pathetically weak, so much so its not worth the risk of getting 1 shot trying to get in an auto.

her heal is pathetically low even at its strongest point and two charges. it also costs alot of mana and has a long cooldown.

Nami does everything Yuumi does better sadly...

Better ult for engage, poke and heal included. Great Stat boost with E for 1v1

Sona also does it better, the only main difference being : Sona can die.

I feel like they cutted off alot of power because she's untargetable and should die last on any teamfight when played well, but she gives so little as a support....

Exhaust + Ignite is a plus on suport without losing too much on escapes, but meh.

Yuumi shield is extremely risky to get, with 500 AA range, the heal is extremely weak and 21% of her AP given as AD from a support is basically a free BF but all supports got a free stat boost somewhere to give.

Yuumi's an idea that's good in a vacuum or a world where Riot knew what they were doing with enchanter designs. Neither of these hold true atm.

Sona also does it better, the only main difference being : Sona can die.

Sona also hard scales into the late game, so there's MASSIVELY better reward for just playing the game with generally normal levels of risk for an enchanter champion.

The issue with this analysis, and the main reason I'm responding (to flesh out this point of yours, that is), is that 21% of her AP is valued item 3174 depending on her build as a champion, and that's a massive problem. item 3504

When you want to think on the value of %s in this game, think on them as "X per 100" values. Yuumi gives 21 adaptive force per 100 ap she builds, right? First of all, adaptive force isn't even 1:1 for AD like it is AP, so you're already losing out on a bit (I think it's like .6 AD : 1 AP). On top of this, to even get 40 adaptive force, you'd need 200 ap, which is really only feasible for a support when you build Athene's. To make matters worse, Yuumi doesn't have much need to build Athene's since she only has one attacking move in her kit and it's not super great for applying damage to fill the grail during fights like a Soraka Q, Karma Q, Sona Q, or Nami W. Even Janna would have an easier time filling the thing and dumping it onto someone than Yuumi would. Yuumi would find more value from Censer, Redemption, Crucible, Shurelya's...basically she'd be way more focused on item effects than she'd be raw ap values since her application of ap is rather crap.

Thus, at most, you'd expect her to have roughly 100 ap each game. Even worse, this is if you MAX W, which you have no room to do. You need Q to lane and you need E to skirmish and team fight. W will give 5 adaptive force per 100 ap until level 14. It looks WAY worse when you take the time to flesh it out.

Yummi feels like forced filler coz new enchanter is due and same time riot hate enchanters. Its funny but it looks like riot is relasing her intenionaly underpowered despite their own practice of relasing chapions OP and do tuning :D Also thanks to her kit it feels she was due like 9 years ago into much slower and longer laning phase where one mistake doesnt kill you. I hope i will be wrong but i thing she is bad. This oneshot meta is completely against everything what she can and what she is suposed to do she will probably "function" somewhat during laning but moment enemy reach oneshot power she is done. Also ataching on adc create wierd situation where you gain little power up and completely loose zoning power of aditional partner on lane, etc. Support provide more then shield and poke there are more subtle thing that support do like zone enemy, help get enemy into favorable position, provide another line of sight, be another target and split damage during all in, even function like meat shield if its needed and with yummi you lost this creating virtualy 1v2 situation.

You're right. Nobody will do that. It's awful. I've seen that other thread and it's pathetic. You force whoever is laning with you to solo it, no pressure is coming from your own champ until your ally does something. So why not simply play her as a support and be effective that way, since that is exactly what supports do? Amplify their mate's strength?

Moonscourge1 votes

Prediction: Nobody will do well on her for a while because she is weird to play and reliant on other players. She gets buffed until people get used to her, then slightly nerfed if she is too strong after all.

As goes for every champ.

Literally weaker Sona.

The only thing I see her useful at is boosting strats with junglers (mainly rammus and hecarim) but as a suport bot adc (and any other line) she seems to be trash tier and I was so hyped for her before she was playable on pbe [sg-janna]

I like the kit. I am already used to considering teammates positioning as some one who enjoys a lot of Bard. You need to account for it a lot when using his R.

Probaly wont be to strong in lower MMR because folks wont use the passive and thus miss out on her kit.

im excited for a new support, but that's normal for support mains I suppose.

Before release, I had predicted that Yuumi would be extremely overpowered if she had damage the levels of Nami and Sona, thanks to her mobility and long lasting ult.

Well, she's been released, and her numbers are a JOKE.

Riot really looked at Irelia and Akali, thought that supports were the same thing, and nerfed Yuumi's numbers preemptively. HARD.

Like, I get it. Yuumi can abuse safety and all, but her mobility has a drawback while Akali and Irelia's don't. That's the main difference between the two, and honestly I can't imagine playing as Yuumi, healing your ADC for like 120 health and then doing nothing.

I propose either to give her more damage on her Q or to give her more heal power that scales slightly less hard and has higher base value.

Where do you live reason why I ask this is (time zone reason): how long till yummi available?

Patches are usually Wednesday, so she will come out then along with all the Battle Academia stuff.

awesome thanks i heard from someone its the 14th.

Nah. She's going to dominate on release among players who have PBE'd her.

Here's how the game will go:

She will level 3 in bot lane.

Level 3, jungler ganks bot lane. Yuumi attaches to jungler for next 10 minutes, enabling repeated 3v1 lane ganks mid and top where the jungler can dive turrets without risking giving a kill, because Yuumi will take the turret aggro instead of the jungler.

Once people learn this tactic and use it every game, she will be 60% win rate and need "nerfs"

I dunno, I've Q'd some people with a decently low health threshold and they've just died. I've killed people without even knowing I was gonna kill them. Sure her damage IS considerably low and she has no waveclear, but the fact that her damage is pretty much guaranteed when attached to someone, and you can ignite someone WHILE being untargetable is pretty powerful.

her passive is pathetically weak, so much so its not worth the risk of getting 1 shot trying to get in an auto.

Why the hell would you not just stay attached to an ally, removing all risk of such?

Most people seem to not realize that its impossible to kill Yuumi and you have to go through all her healing and shielding on her attached target to even begin to get to her.
