@RIOT GAMES RACISM, LIES & HYPOCRISY AGAINST KARMA SPECIFICALLY

I already know this thread is going to get downvoted and I am probably going to get a lot of heat for it. Please visit http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/j0AgmMV5-i-summon-whoever-wrote-those-karma-patchnotes to have a more constructive and lengthy discussion about Karma. This thread is mainly about Riot games and their constant lies and hypocritical behavior. Yes. I am calling them out on all of their BS.

Riot decided to completely relaunch Karma on 03/27/2013. With this decision, Riot Games hoped to give Karma the identity and kit that would make the champion stand out. The Balance and Update team removed everything positive and noteworthy about Karma: her fans, lore, dress, shield bomb, and now the ability to shield minions. What we received on 03/27/2013 is one of the worst reworks, maybe second to Morde, in LoL history. Riot completely butchered this beloved champion and has since then done absolutely nothing to address her problems. Riot gave us a rushed and lazy VU, didn't complete her voice interactions and taunts, removed integral things about the character, didn't give us a proper running and shield animation, a bland lore, and much more. In a pathetic attempt to say they are actually working on Karma, Riot Games buffed her ability numbers to the point that she is the most updated champion in-game right now numbers wise.

Riot has rarely commented about what they want to do with Karma and acknowledge that there are major problems with her failed relaunch. All Riot games ever have are excuses and reasons they refuse to do any meaningful work on Karma. Here are a few of their excuses:

  1. We didn't have the right technology at the time to really work on her.
  2. She is not really high on the list of champions we want to work on right now.
  3. We do not plan to tackle Karma right now, but when we work on Enchanters she will most definitely be worked on.
  4. We do not plan to tackle Karma right now, but when we do an Ionain event we may work on Karma.

Now I want to point out that you have the "technology" now and you still refuse to do any meaningful work on Karma. There are many champions who are behind the times, but that never stopped you from doing minor things on them. Heck, you worked on Ryze 7 times and that didn't seem like a champion who was in dire of need changes like other ones. You worked on almost every champion part of the Enchanter class the last few patches. You have in some shape or form since the beginning of this year, worked on almost all of the champions part of Ionia. My question is why is Karma specifically always left out of every single thing you do and you always have an excuse as to why you will not do any meaningful work on her? In the recent patch notes you say she is performing her role very well, but probably too well. Haven't you told us since her relaunch and other times in Karma related threads that her relaunch missed the mark? These are all of your words. You see how a person can get a little confused about how you really feel about Karma. You seem to think she is doing bad and missing the mark one moment, but think she is performing her role very well. Aren't you guys being hypocrites now? Maybe.

Remember that the buffs on Karma are not addressing her issues. Riot should be ashamed of themselves for allowing an incomplete, bland, and lazy work on a champion to become popular in the LCS. Not only should champions have a unique kit that benefits the right team comp but that champion should have a finished product that is at least presentable to the public. If Riot games want to make Karma the shield champion of LoL, then do it. Give her a kit, VU, theme, and lore that reflect what she is supposed to be. Riot games you cannot even give this champion that. All you can do is strip any identity from this character and find excuses to not work on Karma. While it is great to see Karma in the spotlight and being picked, she is not being picked for a unique kit specifically designed for her or a champion that really stands out. No. Karma is being picked because of the unwanted number buff you gave to her shield and the new support items.

Riot Games, you have not addressed the problems with Karma and continue to find excuses not to work on her. She is only made viable in this game because of a kit with overtuned numbers. It is a kit that doesn't fit the character, does anything for the character, and doesn't do anything for the game. This is a product of your work ethic and your continued work ethic. Instead of reassuring her many fans and players that you actually will meaningful work on Karma, you are creating lies and giving us false hope. You are finding new ways to not work on this champion while working on champions you are giving us the reason you are not working on Karma for.

Since you have used up all of your excuses and continue to be hypocrites about your work ethic, let me ask you this question then. You seem to have time to work on Ryze 7 times, every champion part of the Enchanter Class, and almost every champion in Ionia. What is your excuse going to be this time Riot games? Are you racist against Karma because she is a female champion with a different skin color? It sounds like a plausible excuse to use since you cannot seem to be bothered to give this champion the work and time she deserves. You give us 3 reworks and VU a year. Since you have basically already announced what you are going to be working on for the remainder of this year and next year, Karma is not going to get the time of day until 2018 or 2019. You will continue to have excuses that you give us, but later are hypocrites about. Remember, this is your work ethic and what you want the community to judge you on.

Maybe if you stopped stripping everything from Karma that makes her unique as a champion and engage the community, we might feel a little better about your work ethic. That is just way too much to ask for right Riot games? Maybe . . . . just maybe if you did some meaningful work on Karma in the meantime people might feel a little more optimistic about your work ethic. Right now all we see is a lazy, excuse giving, lying group of game Developers that come off as hypocrites and not knowing what they exactly want to do with Karma. One minute you say she is not a good champion and her relaunch was a complete bomb. The last patch notes you say she is a great champion and performing too well in her role . . . . and what role and niche is that exactly? Oh the numbers buff you gave her.

You dont like the way karma is? Oh then riot must be sexist and racist. Some people will find anything to cplain about just to blame racism and sexism. Come back when you have something intelligent to say.

What is Karma exactly? She is nothing but a numbers buff right now. She will be nothing but a numbers buff until Riot Games stops being liars and a bunch of hypocrites. I do not have a problem with Karma being something new that is cohesive and unique, but I do have a problem with lazy work that doesn't address her problems. They say one minute she is not a good champion and has a poor identity, but the next minute she is this amazing champion with a great theme, lore, VU, and kit that really fits her.

So just because you personally disagree with the way karma is being balanced then it must racist and sexist? Where is the ligic behind that? It is almost like you want to be offended

Vanjie1 votes

Karma is balanced? For a champion that is all about balance . . . . and enlightenment . . . she is not it. It's ok. We all know what Karma really is . . . . . a numbers buff.

Maybe I do not think Riot games is racist at all. Maybe I just think they are a bunch of liars, lazy work ethic, and very hypocritical. Remember this is a team that worked on Ryze 7 times, prioritized work on Vel and Brand over other champions, worked on every other champion part of Karma's lore and class . . . . . . but their work ethic and lies are acceptable. So yes. I called Riot games racist because it seems like the next best thing for a bunch of lazy and excuse giving Developers that don't care about the champion.

You just admitted that you claimed racism just because you felt like it. People like you who spout off all this victim to racism and sexism bullshit is a lot of whats wrong with the United States these days with all the protests. You people TRY to be the victim

Deep Terror Nami7 votes

Not even going to bother reading if you're going to blame it on racism.

Vanjie1 votes

Great. Riot has used every other excuse. What excuse can they use besides being very lazy and not caring? Racism. I said it for a VERY specific reason and that is to get a Ryze out of them and maybe start to care. Creating constructive threads and conversations about her problems and work doesn't seem to work. Being nice and courteous to a bunch of lazy and uncaring people doesn't work. Calling them racist seems like the next best excuse since they have given us reasons why they refuse to do anything on her, but later be hypocrites about it. Oops I called a bunch of useless Game Developers who have no problem finding excuses to not actually work on Karma, but work on Ryze 7 times, work on almost every champion part of Ionia just this year, and work on every champion part of the Enchanter class. Yeah. I called Riot games racist. What other reason could it be? Oops.

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

so... its racist to work on blue people instead of brown ones?

Also ryze is a lot more iconic and is a more urgent thing to fix. Karma is visited sometimes, more often now that she's been changed but recently ryze has been seeing a lot more play and has even changed lanes completely

so many paragraphs written by a guy talking out his ass. come back once you learn what racism and sexism are

Vanjie1 votes

I know what racism is and I know what sexism is. I will say it again, maybe I don't think Riot games is racist at all. I might think Riot games is just a bunch of lazy, hypocritical, liars.

super amount of text won't make it true

Vanjie1 votes

The reasons for not working on her are not true? I agree. :D

Out of everything you typoed i did not see one thing that mentioned racism but yet its in your title.

You people do stuff like this the response is not going to be good no matter how much you type or what you said. What you type should back up your title.

Also you can not speak for the entire community by saying "we all." You do not know how everyone feels. Just like Dynamic Que for example........by reading threads you would think everyone hates it...i know i do.......but there are people out there that support it....just like there are people out there that have no problem with how karma is.

Vanjie1 votes

Just who is Karma exactly?

I don't have a problem with DQ. I can care less I don't play ranked anymore.

Calabok1 votes

didnt read any of that crap .. so i dont know man.

Vanjie1 votes

Sorry. I wouldn't read crap either. Of course . . . . you sound like someone that has no problem talking to a toilet full of brown matter. Have fun with that.

You made a good detailed post, but the reason you're getting downvoted is because of you using the Racist and Sexist card, no one likes listening to this because its a poor excuse that is commonly used. If you made this post without mentioning those two things then I'm sure you would of seen more positive feedback and upvotes. On a side note, no matter how many times we say the same things over and over again, Riot will just toss Karma to the side without any real interest in her as they've continuously shown. I really hope that at least one of the Rioters are looking into this because at this point I'm just getting fed up with the excuses they pulled and poor decisions they've chosen.

I would have been downvoted regardless. Riot doesn't read the countless Karma threads or even respond to them. Every VERY RARE response has been a blatant lie about when they will work on her. Regardless of how I worded and the tone of this thread, it would be downvoted and I would be getting the same responses from players. I don't create threads for Karma anymore that involve ideas and positive reinforcement. It gets ignored, downvoted and the community just insults you and doesn't. There are a few players, mainly the dedicated Karma players like Squid and Midnight . . . . that create positive threads countless times and they are ignored by Riot games. I have created threads where I was nice towards Riot games . . . . but I just got to a point where I didn't care about their work ethic and excuses anymore. I do not think Riot games is racist or sexist. I just think they are very slow in the head, slow at working on champions, don't make the right decisions, tell lies, and are incompetent. The Balance and Update team is the worst department of this game. A lot of the feedback they receive is warranted because they are very slow with their work and continue to tell lies. Since they like to tell lies, I will too. The Riot Games Balance and Update team are racist and sexist towards Karma. Oops I said it.

You're arguing contradictions and hypocrisy on Riot's behalf where there are none. That you then say the same things as Riot, but don't see contradictions and hypocrisy makes me suspect this is intentional.

Suggesting it's racist or misognyist is beyond ridiculous. Ryze is blue, Kayle is female. There, two champs that have been reworked a number of times that are a different colour and a different gender.

Vanjie1 votes

Oh? That is a blatant lie. Riot games have told us on numerous occasions why they are not working on Karma and when they will probably work on her. Riot gave us the first excuse that is wasn't in the budget to work on Karma . . . . . several years ago. The next excuse is that the Balance and Update team didn't have the right technology to complete her. The next lie is when they told us she would be worked on during the Enchanter Class update, but almost all of the Enchanted Class champions have been worked over the past few patches. The next lie was when they told us she might be worked on during the next Ionian event, but almost all of the champions have been worked on . . . . with Irelia being the next candidate on PBE right now.

Riot games have the funds now. Riot games have the technology now. Riot games cannot say they will work on one champion during an event or champion class, and then work on everyone else part of it. Riot could have worked on Karma a little bit during the mage update. Riot games decided to spend useless amounts of time on Vel'Koz and Brand . . . . who didn't need the attention or time. Riot has worked on Ryze 7 times. I guess you do have the time, money, and technology to work on champions then . . . . you did it 7 times with Ryze, you worked on almost all of the Enchanter Class champions . . . . and champions from Ionia.

What excuse can they give now? . . . . . Maybe Riot games is racist and sexist because they keep finding excuses to not work on Karma . . . . but work on other champions around her . . . . and other ones 7 times. Oh my . . . . . they might just be incompetent, liars, and very slow working.
