So you have literally no backup plan?

Every time I go into a queue now, and someone complains that Xin, Jax, Udyr, Yi, or the ever-growing list of champion people consider "OP, invincible, unbeatable, impossible to kill, etc.", I lay the same question onto them.

"What do you plan to do about it?"

You know, do you plan to adapt to whatever the enemy picks? Do you plan to tank up or bring some crowd control if they go all AD melee assassin? Do you plan to change your tactics in ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM!?

The short answer's no. The long slightly less short answer, it's a combination of someone else's problem and hoping the enemy is incompetent, all the while refusing to change your own tactics and behavior.

Part of the game is about adapting to different scenarios, and when pressed, too many players out there outright refuse to change or adapt if they encounter a threat. Yes, JUYX are an issue right now, but they still have tremendous weaknesses, and as I've pointed out before, the community collectively took that knowledge and flushed it down the toilet. People don't want to adapt, even if it's to their absolute detriment. In my last game, I got jumped by Jax. As Support Vel'Koz. I survived. More than that, I almost killed him. Alone, and we were both at near full health starting off, AND he was ahead. The only reason why he didn't die was because he jump-flashed away. If he was stupid enough to stick around, they'd be scooping up what remained of him with a ROOMBA.

My long conclusion, you don't adapt because that means you have to do something different, and that prospect kinda terrifies you. You want to be Yasuo, Zed, Vayne, Talon, Akali, Jax, Udyr, Yi, Xin, or any other super assassin because you want all the kills. Well guess what? So does the top laner. And the mid laner. And the jungler. And the ADC. The Support would like a kill or two as well, but god help them if they do; the team will just bitch at them for "stealing a kill" from someone who feels they are entitled to it. The punchline to all this is for focusing so hard on getting all the kills and doing all the damage, you fail to realize your own shortcomings. You actively pine for the enemy's incompetence and hope they're bad enough that you can run roughshod over them without consequence or challenge. You are basically a bully. You pick on the weak and collapse like a house of cards when you face true opposition. On top of that, you think that it's a one man show and everyone else is a stagehand to your greatness or the heel to your face, unaware that this is a team-based game, there are many roles in a team, and everyone should seriously consider what theirs is before they even leave the champion select screen. On top of that, you are one of literally millions out there with this exact same mindset. I physically and mentally cringe whenever I see four of you in the queue with me, because I know you'll spend more time and energy squabbling amongst each other than you will fighting the enemy.

My short conclusion, you don't adapt because you suck.

Well said.

Also I personnaly love it when Im last pick as a support, and the entire enemy team is ad focused. It allows me to pick the lovely Taric and help my team wipe them out. Its sad how many people don't try to even pick good synergy champs based on who has been picked so far, or don't buy a shred of MR when the entire enemy team is AP focused. In short, my sisters motto is proven ever correct "people are dumb".

It's a combination of being dumb and being selfish. This is what has led to the support stigma. People think that teamwork and cooperation is a one-way street. You could help the jungler leash, but then he's going to AFK farm in the jungle for 20+ minutes to get his precious Sated while one lane or another has problems and needs his help. The support is expected to peel for everyone, but who peels for the peeler? The support is expected to perform more roles than every other role combined five times over, though in recent months that number has gone up to ten or even twenty times more, all the while working off a shoestring budget with increasingly irate, childish, single minded players who only care about how many pentakills they can get.

Then people get in Dynamic Queue and wonder why the wait to get into a game is longer than the game itself.

That is why I only go into normals with someone I know to be fair. It works alot better when you have someone to complain to... And stratergize with

Yes, adapt to the tank that does like 5k damage in 3 auto attacks. Go ahead, ignore that Vayne/Yasuo mid who is killing your entire team with the tank that doubles the adc's damage output with resets and more.
