sure, lets instead just dance around the issue for a whole year and fiddle with adding and removing stats to make them unattractive for these champions, because in the end you dont want them to buy these items anyways.

It's not that clear cut though, there are ranged ad assassins.

who probably shouldnt have access to their items either.

if youre talking about Vayne and Quinn

they can work off standart adc itemization. especially Quinn passive was specifically designed to scale with crit. she can easily assassinate suishies with crit itemization instead of armor pen itemization.

There really isn't any real ranged AD Assassins. Unless you are talking about ADC/Assassins like Quinn Twitch Vayne and I consider Tristana in that group to. Which all of these do fine with Crit/Attack speed and life steal. The only one I could see maybe building like the assassins would be possibly Twitch but can do just fine with the normal ADC items.

In fact, the only actual Ranged Assassin is Leblanc , unless you count TwistedFate as an assassin to which I could see to. So making the assassin items all melee only is probably a good idea.
