Jungling and supporting are like parenting

The Deckowner··219 votes·6,834 views

The Jungler daddy works his a** off to feed his three children. giving all of his resources to the children, wards, buffs, camps, just keep sacrificing himself.

The eldest child, Top, keeps fighting with others in school, getting kicked in the a** and complain about dad not helping.

The second child, Mid, always wants all the stuff. "Their kid got a blue buff! I want one too!" "Their kid took raptors, I want them too!" and when they get bullied, they just cry about jungler daddy not ganking, support mommy not roaming, and big bro top not helping.

The support mother spends most of her days nursing the little baby ADC and taking good care of them. But the baby ADC crys in any given moment about mom not milking(alistar) them, taking their toy(mistaken cs), and always want more food(gank) from daddy.

And when these kids grow up, full item full level, they start getting abusive. "fuck off this is my farm" the lv18 adc says so to the lv13 support "No this is my blue buff" says the Riven to the Nidalee.

In my games it feels more like this:

The top laner is the oldest sibling who just wants some alone time. He is usually very relaxed and quiet.

The jungler is the father who expects so much from his children that he gets mad when they die even once. Often he doesn't like helping his team and just wants to have everything for himself.

The mid laner is the middle sibling who loves to hang out with others. She often roams to help her teammates. She is usually the nicest person on the team.

The adc is the youngest sibling who is always excited to learn. Unfortunately, he can't seem to do anything right and his parents always yell at him, espicially his mother. However, he knows he can improve and always thanks his team for helping him.

The support is the mother who thinks she works too hard to help her children. She gets upset very easily from anything that is said to her, even if it is as a joke. In the end, she loves her children and does everything she can to help then succeed.

ADCs actually thanking teammates?

That happens like once a blue moon.

I once had a Vayne say I was a great support and that the only reason she got so fed was because of me. I'm convinced that I played with a robot.

Saianna2 votes

friendly Vayne or enemy :P?

Veigarisgod13 votes

I'm a guy who does that. But im so bad at adc that i rarely get to say "i got fed because of you"...

I am an adc main and I can confirm we are all robots though most of us are programmed to be toxic, you might have had a defective so we ask that you give us their name and the problem shall be fixed as soon as possible

I say a bunch of gj per game, no matter the role

The Deckowner5 votes

throughout my hundreds of support games, maybe 5 adcs said ty to me.

bistroh3 votes

Really? That's crazy. Without the support the adc really couldn't do much a alone which is why I think the support carries the game the hardest if not the hardest by setting up kills.

Xonra5 votes

I had an adc actually say "gj" and "thanks" in the same game once.

Unfortunately he was saying "gj dying mid. feeding moron"

and

"thanks for not saving me a**hole" to our top laner

I've personally seen more supports than ADCs get away with toxicity. I hate that everyone has such a hard-on for supports, yes they deserve respect as much as any other role, but they still can make mistakes. I hate having a decent ADC lose lane because of the support then he gets blamed for it. Honestly, people are far too lenient with supports on the boards especially. If the low health Leona engages on a Lucian/Thresh without warning, dies and then blames ADC, 95% of the time the team will flame ADC for not following up.

No wonder ADC mains are always so salty, they have to put up with a lot of bullshit and then take the blame too. And this is coming from someone who plays a lot of support and not a lot of ADC. Even when I play support and make a dumb play, I rarely have an ADC flame me. And if they say even the most slightly aggressive thing, the whole team immediately goes full white knight mode and tells them to fuck of or get reported, even though it was my fault.

Once again, I'm not bashing support, support mains absolutely deserve as much respect as any other role. But that doesn't make them perfect. And not every ADC is toxic, only the Vayne mains.

... where do you find these teams? My top and mid lane always toxic motha fuckas wanting constant ganks. Bot lane either high as fuck or super toxic.

For me its.

Top: Oldest sibling wanting independence but also wants dads help when things start to get tough.

Jungle: dad. Wants his family to succeed. Does everything he can to ensure the family's success even if the other family members do not always agree.

Mid: Middle child. Loves to hang with others, too much sometimes though. Gets distracted easily.

Adc: Youngest child. Thinks they know more than they do. Still needs a babysitter.

Support: Mother who cares for her family and would sacrifice herself for her family. Does not get told "I love you" enough.

FEELSBADMAN fo sho.

My suggestion to top, mid, bot laners is this. If you going to be an adc main, learn support first. Will make you appreciate how annoying playing support can be. If you going to play top/mid learn jungle. So as a laner you realize shits on you to win and you alone and if your jungle comes to help then you should feel excited, but not that its a necessity. Jungle can't be everywhere at once.

When you're support and you go back to shop:

As a toplane main, I don't ask my junglers to gank me. I don't blame them for not ganking me. I don't expect them to gank me. I'm honestly surprised when I do get a gank.

Another holier-than-thou jungle/support main who is sad the world doesn't revolve around them. Dude. Grow some fucking balls and take responsibility for the well-being of your carries.

  1. Top is the lane where counters are more significant, resulting in severe cs differences and higher kill-count favoring one side (feeding). They rely on ganks a lot more. Speaking of which, the lane is easy as fuck to gank.
  2. Tell me why you need a fucking blue buff when you're just farming camps 75% of the time while the mid receives: mana regen for farming and trading as well as ap?
  3. As a big support player myself, you have to make the adc your bitch. They don't carry you, you carry them. Dont EVER take shit from them. Playing support isn't about being better than your enemies, it's about being better than your adc. Be so good that it's impossible for your adc to suck.
A Liberal2 votes

I mean... plenty of junglers are reliant on blue buff...

Try playing Fiddlesticks, Nidalee, or Elise without taking blue buff, see what happens.

agbudar2 votes

its really agravating to most junglers having to give second blue when they still really need it. Sejuani Rammus even Hecarim have heavy mana costs

item 1039 is not good enough of an excuse. and by nature of the lane a midlaner has MUCH higher chances of dying then most junglers and thus giving a second blue buff to the enemy lane.

Silver Don2 votes

From my experience as a support main, out of the 98% ADCS who thank me at one point or the other (which happens once in a blue moon as it is), 98% aren't good enough to even convince themselves that they are good (and those who know they aren't good always end up thanking me because they hope that would prevent me from raging or losing my patience), 1% is good but the thanks would only come if they feel i made an LCS level play, and the final 1% is when they are robots

SpookyNeedle2 votes

Top lane is like the uncle that just watches as his siblings children (botlane) fuck around

Abandon2 votes

I know this is mostly a satirical post but it still triggers me. Why are you making a whole bunch of stereotypes especially on who blames who in game. General rule of thumb, no one is perfect and everyone is to blame. When your teammates fuck up, you as a whole unit/team fuck up.

I generally support the junglers and supports, but I hate it when the boards dick ride on things in an appeal for sympathy or however many pitiful likes they are after. Instead of focusing on what a 'stereotypical' role does, why don't we just focus on being GOOD PEOPLE/TEAMMATES in general. The game is a team effort after all, there is never one sole role for someone to carry by themselves. Everyone contributes and everyone is to commend/blame when the game ends in either a win or lose.

If the jungler and support are the 'parents' then I've had my fare share of abusive, neglectful and sometimes downright lost parents.

In this game, no one is immune to criticism. No one is immune to the effects of anger, disappointment, sadness and tilt. So can we stop making it out as if somehow the jungler and supports are paragons of patience, justice and equity?

I probably made myself look like a fool for posting a serious post in regards to satire but, whatever.

As a top and mid main i often never ask for anything, to be fair though i play champions that like to be alone or don't need much help. Like for top it's Teemo,Illaoi and Yorick and for mid it's Ahri,Lissandra and lux. Just leave me alone Dad you don't understand me! GOSH!
