What VGU's Do You Feel Are Needed Soon/Next?
It's that time again for me to ask the question of what VGUs people want to see the most soon, since time changes people's mind and this is the only enjoyment I have left of being apart of League (seriously Cho one shotting people and what feels like far too many champs to want to ban right now is not fun for me. I'm taking a break till some of it blows over to something less stress inducing!)
Nevertheless, it's probably no surprise that there are quite a number of champs in need of a good old overhaul to them.
are some to make this list.
But, since Riot announced that they're going to have 5 teams instead of 2 for either more new champs or more reworks, I thought it would be interesting to see what few reworks should come next, given the slim chance that all teams go on reworks. So just tell what reworks you want to see be worked on next, say your next top 5 reworks (and please avoid Aatrox, Xin, or Swain since they're already being planned and especially Eve since she's due soon for reveal after worlds most likely).
My personal list:
- Mord is just one of those champs that I feel I would enjoy becoming a main of, just off of looks alone, but with how he is right now I just am not motivated to pick him. He just has so many bugs with him at the moment that I don't find to be great, nor is the fact that his model and dialogue is very outdated. I also feel like they could do something with this AP juggernaut death knight character type that can still give the same old feel but make it better to play as and against.
- Malphite is, to just put it bluntly, boring. There's nothing really exciting about him outside of his ult which has an extremely small window of counterplay to it when you get down to it. He's what I almost describe as a one trick champ in the since that they only do one thing. I would almost describe him as just a literal lifeless rock that you just throw at people. I feel there could be a bit more done to him for one of League's oldest champs.
- I. Hate. This. Guy. He's just one of those champs that whether you're on the enemy team or my team if he gets picked I go on tilt a bit, simply due to how he plays. He's just a non-stop split-pushing machine that turns you're whole game from 5v5 to 4v5 and constant fly/chipping cricket in the room annoying or 4v4 since you're top laner need to stay top and prevent him from pushing. His passive is basically free crit and RNG, Q is only ever used for the heal and not the lower health=higher AD passive on it, W is wonky of whether or not you hit your slow, E is his only true damaging ability and what makes him that fly in the room since it goes off cooldown faster with crit and just by hitting any shit, and ult is just the biggest fuck you in the entire game. You either activate it and run like a bitch, or fight your way out of it and win since there is no way you can die during the duration, win and then still run like a bitch. And the fact that he just wield that giant ass sword at incredible speed like it's made of paper really pulls me out of the immersion of it actually having weight to it. Just... everything about this guy I despise.
- To sum him up in a nutshell: 300 spoof character. Nothing about Pantheon is really that exciting about him, whether it's playing as him or against. You can't fight against him in lane since he'll just poke you with Q and block your auto's with his passive, if you do fight him and get his passive he can bring it back with his point and click stun and most of the time he'll just use it to catch you since he has the highest base movement speed in the game, E is annoying especially when he now crits at low health, and his ult is pretty much a free teleport allowing him to take ignite instead most cases. He's also a binary champ of go all in and kill or not. On top of that as the game goes on he falls off hard. I feel like he could needs a rework to help him stand out a bit more than just that spartan joke character, and actually allow to fight him more early on.
- Cho as he stands at the moment I don't feel is healthy for the game as he is right now, mostly because Riot continues trying to give him tools in a fairly outdated kit to keep him relevant as they've done with other champs. But what they ended up doing was now creating a pure monster, which in retrospect is what he's suppose to be but that's not great in terms of gameplay. The interaction with his ult and Gargoyle is just absurd, allowing you to literally one shot squishes. On top of this, he has a bunch of CC in his kit like knock up and silence along with now a slow that also does % HP damage. So in short, you're able to one shot squishes and shred enemy tanks a bit, all while having a crap ton of CC, in lane/jungle sustain, and a Righteous Glory to help with the lack of MS.
Just.... Cho has held a special place in my heart. He was one of the first champs I went out of my way for in saving IP to buy because he looked awesome (even with the horrendous splash art back then). But as he is right now, I don't feel right playing him since he feels way too powerful once you get going, or he's really unfun to play against once he gets going. He still just feels too overbearingly strong atm and really just needs an update rather than trying to keep his current one relevant by pretty much breaking it.
