Assassin Ahri's Viabilty Without DFG and Potential Upcoming Changes Worries Me

Lanofrose··5 votes·2,280 views

Ahri or her assassin play style is severely nerfed without DFG (maybe even gone with the potential changes to her charm's "Kiss of Death" damage amp functionality) a lot of issues arise for her once the item is removed but the comments from Meddler already seem off and having me throwing up a red flag, it seems more like a gameplay shift like they are not buffing her to work without DFG instead they are looking into change her gameplay away from assassin completely...

My understanding is DFG's removal in terms of balance is to get rid of the "he just missed half his combo or He did just one spell and still instantly nuked me feeling" that assassins are opting into like leb, fizz, etc. to remove weakness from their kits ex.(Leblanc freely using Distortion just as movement and not feeling the supposed kit trade-off of losing Distortion damage for it being used only as a gap-closer by just making DFG to substitute the damage)***

OK, so i see were they are thinking and I kinda agree with it but what about champs that were always balance around DFG? (Lets just focus on Ahri my main since can't really speak for others champs like annie or viegs since i don't play them nearly as much)***

Again assassin Ahri is severely nerfed without DFGs stats bundle and has a hard time itemizing around it and still being as affective [120 AP] [10 CDR] [Active with 15% max hp damage and 20% damage increase]

[120 AP] Ahri's doesn't have the best ratios but they are far better then her low base damage tho it's ok she percent damage buffs to make up for it (44% multiplicatively together with charms amp) with dfg 120 ap gone the closest ap item is rylia 100 ap but doesn't have many other stats needs nor hit her high AP needs since her base damage is low(Q,E) or low and unreliable for a single target (W,and to some extent Ult cause of the amount of time it takes to do all 3)*

[10 CDR] CDR is core for Ahri having two static cd abilities Q and E and also being a sitting duck as well as having less pick potential without ult but still not so core as to sacrifice damage as her low base damages are low hehe...(this is why most consider DFG over nomicon or grail) but since there isn't a big ticket item with CDR anymore she has an awkward itemization gap where you will have to forgo any defensive items just to have even a little cdr thought meddler did say he considering helping her get her ult more since that 10% cdr is going away, maybe put some form of CDR in her kit

[Active with 15% max hp damage and 20% damage increase]** *This is the biggest nerf, with the active gone from the game Ahri won't have options to make up for the % damage making tanks harder to deal with, or the loss of the 20% magic damage amp to her low base damages. Without direct buffs to Ahri or an item added to the game this damage is lost more then 20% of her damage is gone which seems a little harsh considering they are not looking to direct nerf Ahri

It just feels like assassin Ahri is being left in a weird spot hoping to get maybe some clarification on this, what do you guys think?

I do think proper compensation is in order for Ahri's ultimate cooldown and perhaps even Q as it concerns COMPENSATING Ahri so that the assassin set up is still possible. What I'm upset about is that instead of compensating Ahri they NERF Ahri, they could have left her alone and she would be better than she is with these pbe changes. Lets be clear folks removing a champions flexibility to play multiple types of roles is a nerf. If you can't understand that simple comcept you need to be educated more. Furthermore removing a viable play-style whilst leaving her with a half baked one that her kit isn't really geared towards, without any real significant changes** IS A NERF**. For all the players that keep saying "This isn't a nerf they buffed W, look at her ratio damage". Ask yourself this rudimentary question before you even tackle the numbers, because before you hit numbers you need a sold concept.

Question: "What does Ahri's buffed W (Fox Fire) accomplish as a kite mage?"

It hasnt been changed aside from being mildly buffed. Fox Fire isnt a long ranged or auto target spell, its a close ranged AoE Spell that will only focus a target if severely close. Do poke mages get severely close? Is Xerath or Orianna gonna walk into your face and unload their skills on you? Firstly getting close range is an Assassin, tank, Auto attack adc and bruiser type trait. You only get in close if you're going to hard CC, burst or have sustained damage as a duelist adc or bruiser. You're not going to get in auto attack range as a poke Mage because your skills keep you at a distance and do significant damage, while zoning youre enemies out and wave clearing.

Aside from Q what in Arhi's kit is making her a "good" wave clearer, isn't wave clear a big part of being a poke mage? There's so many things wrong with the "Mage Ahri" logic even if you want to talk about the original Ahri that it's sad. She's an assassin Champ with poke aspects nothing more. Arhi's Q and E alone, especially after the E nerfs is not killing anyone. It really isnt, at best shes a utility mid laner now. You know what the proper compensation would have been? The buffs she got to her W, cooldown reduction on her R and or the Q "buff" she got; all without the removal of the charmed bonus damage of landing E. **THATS **compensation, **THATS **keeping Assassin Ahri viable, and **THATS **also keeping her flexible for those who never used dfg to begin with. Now it would literately not be necessary and her damage is totally fine.

Ahri has to be the most balanced Assassin I've tried and played against. She has counter play to everything and is highly interactive with her thematic kit. She gets rewarded the right way for taking risky plays, she gets punished for making mistakes. A lot of the times she has to burn a majority of her power to pick off a target and secure the kill in a team fight. She's not just gonna press R and blow someone up, nor is she just gonna press E and blow someone up, there has to be follow up. And while yes the charm is very powerful it can be avoided, even can be somewhat withstood and counterplayed (QSS, Cleanse, Mikaels). The changes would be fine if E wasnt changed at all, losing DFG wouldnt be as bad.

This is the best worded and most detailed assessment of the Ahri changes I've read thus-far. You've included everything short of the basic numbers, which I happen to have right here:

Current Kit - Charm: 180 Dmg (+ 35% AP) Orb of Deception: 336 Dmg (+ 84% AP) Fox-Fire: 269 (+ 76.8% AP) Spirit Rush: 540 (+ 108% AP) Total: 1325 (+ 303.8% AP)

Patch 5.2 - Charm: 200 Dmg (+ 50% AP) Orb of Deception: 280 Dmg (+ 70% AP) Fox-Fire: 272 Dmg (+ 64% AP) Spirit Rush: 450 Dmg (+ 90% AP) Total: 1202 (+ 274% AP)

I don't normally build DFG on Ahri unless I am very ahead or desperately need the damage amplification to 100-0 someone in 1.5 seconds. I think she will be fine without DFG as I normally play her as a mage anyhow but her mobility and her Charm lets me fish a kill before a teamfight if needed. Ahri will still be an assassin without DFG. Just not an LB or Fizz assassin. Ahri is an opportunistic assassin and a mobile burst mage who doesn't really need DFG. I normally build a Morello's into Zhonya/Rabadon with her anyway and damage is more than sufficient. as well as the CDR to have your Charm up more often in skirmishes.
I am just concerned about mages like Annie who I find completely lackluster without having the ability to 100-0 someone.

You're in the minority.
http://www.probuilds.net/champions/Ahri

DFG is her most built item. Period. Even if you personally focus on her half-mage side, she is and was always meant to be half-assassin as well. Not to mention Riot forcing her assassin side on us for 1+ years until now. Losing DFG is a major blow and leaves a massive hole in 99% of Ahri players' builds.

Lanofrose2 votes

If you look at my some of my games I believe Ahri heavily relies on CDR in some matches where I don't make a 20% cdr item since its taking away to much raw damage, instead just rush DFG then fore go Sorc's and make CDR boots since Ahri can live with much pen for awhile as 30%ish is true damage and just trade the shoes in towards the end if need be.

So yes I do like a more mage like Ahri but im not ok with it being forced on us becuase of lack of itemization, she needs help getting over her core item removal with either new Item options or damage or kit buffs BUT NOT some mini rework gameplay change were her core mechanics are gone just to have slightly better ratios and utility added.

Hèntaî 1 votes

Imo I wasnt to big on dfg either on ahri, she works well without it if not better, I prefer building her with Liandrys, Rab, rylais, zhonyas, and frozen heart(Depending on enemy comp) and it works just as well if not better imo. XD

Social Justice 13 votes

I want to wait until we know what the new item 1058 item is to say too much. If it helps aggressive play, Ahri may still be a powerful assassin without her instant killswitch DFG.

Until then, here's to maxing E second.

Lanofrose2 votes

Has there been any talk that they are adding a new item 1058 item to the game? and if so how many patches will it be while they figure things out......( stats they like from DFG and if the new item will even fit Ahri) im just hoping they don't leave Ahri in a sour spot because they prematurely removed DFG with thinking of filling the Item gap before its gone.

Starting to think they should rework the item over removing it like making it 100 AP but the active gives a 25-50 AP increase for a few seconds so its still the go to burst item but not so Strong since it would have to go through champ ratios still.

SmokingPuffin3 votes

Ahri was nerfed around DFG to the point she currently needs it to be balanced. Go back and check out her patch history. It's brutal.

Ahri was way more fun to play before we discovered how good DFG was on her. If they go back and make her more able to kite and kill with orb repositioning, I promise it will be cool.

made a topic about a possible middle ground on the subject, after playing her on the PBE the new Q speed boast is really fun but you really feel the lack of damage mid game and late game (ratios and not being able to get as much AP) but the PBE at the very least was a good start for Kite Ahri.

I have 12 games of data for you:

http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/MWoEqAAy-ongoing-ahri-play-test-results-link-to-pbe-thread

Here's the match history filled with games as and with Ahri: http://matchhistory.pbe.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/PBE1/2200026312

Draw your own conclusions, but overall Ahri seems to be strong.

Pika3104 votes

Being strong is not the issue. Comparable strength is the only point and Ahri is losing over 100 base damage and nearly 30% AP. In other words, since Ahri is losing damage because of DFG's removal, she's also losing damage in her actual kit itself. Hence, nerfs to compensate for nerfs. Aka: Riot Logic

She can't rely on base values for damage anymore, but AP is less useful on her. With these nerfs, Froggen's full-tank style Ahri will be the only viable item path. Rush Rylai's and rely on CC disruption hoping your teammates have the damage you're lacking.

Strident1 votes

When I say strong, I also mean strong compared to before. The movespeed buff is 87.5% to 24.24-%; it's absolutely massive, and the most viable build path starts Morello's.

Pika3104 votes

So moving faster for a second or so makes up for not having damage? That's like Choice-scarfing a Timid Luvdisc on a Raindance team. Sure you're guaranteed to hit first against all, but priority moves. However, you hit like a small cobweb gently floating onto somebody's head while wearing a hat. Ahri's not nearly that bad, but the basic concept is identical.

Riot isn't even trying to compensate Ahri for removing DFG, that's just propaganda they're hiding behind to give her a "rework." (nerf)

Strident1 votes

First, you argue that movespeed != damage. Is this true? Yes, but this some damage you used to have, and not all of it.

You argue that a reduction in damage is equivalent to losing nearly all your damage when this is not the case at all in any context. You make the mistaken assumption that previously, every hit you landed came with the charm amplification, which is not the case because Ahri wins lane by successfully landing Q's by themselves as poke. I'm sure you have done this before, so you must be aware that this is a significant amount of damage.

The movespeed is extremely massive. Avoiding ganks is absolutely trivial and allows for set up time. To draw a comparison of why your argument is flawed, Ghost was employed by Korean mid laners over ignite on champions such as Xerath and TF, because the ability to reposition was valued over Ignites flat true damage for several reasons, such as helping them survive, catch up to opponents, dodge, and better land skill shots. This is an obvious case of sacrificing damage for mobility, and is highly beneficial because it sets Ahri up for more damage. This is why Morellonomicon is so effective, by granting her closer windows of high mobility (which lasts for more than a second, mind you) with her Q and R, and E (whose AP ratio has been buffed by 15%, a significant note). W has also been buffed a reasonable amount in base damage.

I speak with 12 games of experience with Ahri in the PBE thus far, and I already provided you a forum and match history link providing data.

As someone who always went DFG -> Morello on Ahri (DFG -> Athenes in S4) I can definitely say I enjoy the benefits of CDR on her. I loved playing her as a backline mage in teamfights, often using my charm to peel tanks off of my carries and combing it with my orb to help them shred the frontline down (true damage bae bee).

That said, DFG allowed me to actually burst down squishy champions that I hit with my charm which is a huge benefit of playing the champion. Without DFG I know for a fact those squishy champions would be able to escape easily even if I landed every single skillshot.

In her current state I don't think Ahri could function as a kiting mage. She doesn't deal enough damage. Without her ability to 100-0 a squishy target that she's charmed I feel like Ahri would completely lose her identity. To be frank, I would be extremely upset if the updates came and I found out that I can no longer kill an ADC who facechecks a bush into my charm. That feels like a huge part of Ahri's identity to me, and without DFG I can't really see it happening.

And if they redesign her into a kiting mage I think she will be very easily overshadowed by other mages of that same type (Azir, Xerath) and completely lose her identity within that niche. I'm really not a fan of that direction at all, so I genuinely hope they keep her power to blow squishy targets up if she lands all of her skillshots, even if she has to blow 2-3 charges on R to secure the kill if she isn't notably up in gold/xp.

Lanofrose2 votes

Turning her into a full kite mage would be so disappointing consider i think she would be over shadow for her short range and her utl wouldn't offset it much either since it 3 dashes at once and not like kass ult or akali where she can did it frequently but not unless she has the mana or charges

Elphrihaim2 votes

I think that she'll be okay but not fantastic if a DFG-stat item gets added with a completely different passive.

For example, any of these

Needlessly Large Rod (1600) + Forbidden Idol (600) + Recipe (1000) = 3300 +120 AP, +10% CDR, +75% Mana Regeneration [Active] Reduce all your ability cooldowns by 2 seconds. 120 second cooldown.

NLR (1600) + Fiendish Codex (820) + Recipe (880) = 3300 +120 AP, +15% CDR

NLR (1600) + Hextech Revolver (1200) + Recipe (500) = 3300 +120 AP, +20% Spell Vamp [This item can't exist because SV on mages is usually bad for game balance, but eh. Felt it'd be nice to show.]

NLR (1600) + Aether Wisp (950) + Recipe (750) = 3300 +120 AP, +6% Movement Speed -Steal 20% MS from target. 75 second cooldown.

would work for her-- she desperately needs to have a lot of Ability Power and cooldown reduction to be effective.

The bolded one is just DFG, -active, +5% CDR, +200 recipe gold so I like it quite a lot. It would also work on, for example, Cassiopeia, Leblanc, Lissandra-- any Mage [and every assassin] that is willing to forego survivability for tons of damage-- and unlike DFG, gets to be effective at range.

Joke that I didn't think warranted staying.

This one's a pretty good idea making it the king of dps ( burst) of the big ticket items which would be a good replace ment for DFG while not just giving free damage, tho prob go with a 90 sec CD on active as it not the most game impacting thing but still good

Epilogue of Life1 votes

Why would there EVER be an assassin who's ranged, AP(so she gets to benefit from Zhonya), with burst, sustain, dps, AOE true dmg, single target burst, three dashes, and CC?

Lanofrose2 votes

why would there EVER be an AP Assassin (So he can benefit from Zhonya) who's passive gives mobility and damage reduction in one , Two gap-closers A long range AA that applies on-hit effect and on-hit spell affects and jump that slows while having invulnerability on top of his 0.1 second burst, Percentage HP magic damage and grievous wounds, and to top it off a long range double CC engage tool. Now why would anyone have all that?

You can make anyone seems great when you list like that, there is a reason people don't shout Ahri is OP because the counter -play is made simple dodge the Charm and her kill potential isn't nearly as potent as well as her mobility is all at once so she doesn't have have the same smaller CD time frame since her mobility is her ult. while for fizz the general counter play is just don't be near him that's it GL.......

Epilogue of Life1 votes

It's not like I'm saying that Fizz is weak...but Fizz is not ranged, Fizz has no poke, and Fizz doesn't fking heal by casting...Ahri is just such cancer in that she can miss her charm and still jump out of a kill combo with the three dashes on ult, making her nearly as cancer as Fizz.

Lanofrose1 votes

Ahri heal ratios are very little at the start of laning under maybe 10 damage a target if that around lvl 4, as well as having to cast at least 3 spells to charge it meaning even if shes focusing on passive heal her mana and all in attempts suffers for not having a big mana pool to sustain the spam.

In response to her being able to ult in fail then just be safe and ult out.... well now you have over a min to punish her as she has poor mobility and outplay chance without it Im guessing you pref someone having one get in tool that if they fail they can have another shot at it in another few seconds giving little to no room to retaliate i just don't see how having a clear weakness is "cancer" in your mind

Epilogue of Life1 votes

Well chances are, the thing you pulled to force her ult will have over 1 mins CD as well, or is a once in a lifetime thing....

Lanofrose1 votes

These are the Ahri changes on PBE

Ahri

Orb of Deception (Q) has a new effect: "Ahri gains movement speed while her orb travelling"

[Note: This is a pretty significant speed boost that rapidly decays. At level 1 and rank 1 of Q, movement speed spikes from 330 (base) up to 545 then rapidly down to 410 until the orb returns.]

Foxfire (W) damage increased to 50/80/110/140/170 from 40/65/90/115/140
Charm (E) AP ratio increased to .5 from .35
Charm (E) no longer amplifies damage on target by 20% for 6 seconds.
Charm (E) damage increased to 60/90/120/150/200 from 60/90/120/150/180

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY IM FREAKING OUT this is so far looking like a massive Ahri nerf

Lanofrose1 votes

Made this post in another thread but spent some time on in and wanted to post it here also for anyone thoughts about it

The current changes on the PBE are disappointing to say the least........ the removal of her charm's purpose (Kiss of Death) (also I love this term) is not the direction I believe most Ahri's would like to see her go. when seeing the item Ahri was previously most balance and nerfed around Go for the health of game its was commonplace to think that some help or "compensation" would be in place to aid her in getting over the hump of not having DFG anymore, but instead it like your taking this time to Rework her give her a Game-play which would just put her back to her problematic season 3 mechanics were it was unclear how to outplay or keep safe against her damage, making for unhappy opponents feeling cheated and a less satisfying and fun Ahri. (no more feeling of out maneuvering someone and landing charm)

I Made a list of a number off potential buffs that would help her tremendously within her current play style (charm with 20% damage amp)

Passive: 1: passive will now only procs when HP Isn't full (this may be a little to good but worth mentioning for QoL sake)

Q: 1: Base Damage increased from [40/65/90/115/140] To [45/70/95/120/145] 2: CoolDown Goes from flat 7 to 7/6.75/6.5/6.25/6 also the PBE buff, Q now gives a boost of speed when in air (can this be toned down from the PBE version so that it doesn't give MS if moving towards the orb only sideways and backwards this change should only be for a poking/kiting Ahri)

W: 1: Base Damage increased from [40/65/90/115/140] To [45/70/95/120/145] ( small buff to help with her with her damage but not give to much free damage)

E: 1: Charm now applies its 20% damage buff to itself (This is the Main buff, charm stats would now technically be 72/108/144/180/216 with 42% ratio AKA less ratio then PBE but slightly more base damage throughout game to make up for it)

Ult: 1: When Ult is ranked it gives 5% CDR (going utility over raw damage here to keep her in check but also help her get over the missing cdr from DFG hump, so she will still need to build some cdr but not be so hard up on builds if she wanted to for-go it entirely for a high damage build, this goes with the comment of giving her more use of her ult without any significant changes to her ult system) As well as this can be completely ignored if there is plans for another big ticket CDR item in the future.

Mostly not a fan of changing her ratios as they are fairly well balanced around charm already but slight base damage increases with charms 20% and charms new application on itself would really keep Ahri in a healthy spot.

Angry Monster1 votes

i love when people do not know what they are talking about.

Ahri was not supposed to be an assassin to start with. They changed her charm and lowered her numbers cause of the DFG play style. I repeat Ahri was not supposed to be an assassin.

Now that DFG is going away, hopefully a better pre dfg Ahri is coming back. She was supposed to a mobile low range poker with her Q. With the increased mobility she is receiving you can have even more LCS big plays. You should be happy.

Please do not act like the live version of ahri was the original one. Her style has changed before and probably will change again after season 5 again.

Lanofrose1 votes

why does she have to be one or the other when it clearly states that she is a 1st Mage 2nd Assassin, I made a make change shift list that supports both of the play-styles (but that thread kind of got tossed aside) so ill post it here I think it's about time that both ways to play her are viable instead of swinging toward one and heavily nerfing the other.

Hes the change-list from he other thread

Q: Orb of Deception

Base Damage increased to 40/65/90/120/150 from 40/65/90/115/140

Per AP ratio increased to 37.5% ability power at all ranks from 35% ability power at all ranks

New* Ahri gains movement speed while her orb is traveling

W: Fox-Fire

*Base Damage increased to 40/65/95/120/145 From 40/65/90/115/140

*Maximum damage to a single target increased to 68/110/161/204/246(+68% AP) from 64/104/144/184/224(+64%AP)

E: Charm

*Base Damage increased to 60/90/120/150/200 from 60/90/120/150/180

  • Per AP ratio increased to .4 from .35

  • Enemies hit by Charm now take 10% increased damage from Ahri for 6 seconds instead of 20%.

R: Spirit Rush

*Damage increased to 75 / 120 / 160

  • Upon ranking Spirit Rush you gain 5%CDR (considered to be removed if a new Big ticket CDR item is introduced the game)

Keeps a reason to hit charm for Assassin while given more breathing room for Kite Ahri to use E at the most opportune time over being force for raw damage while helping her Kite with Q boost

EDIT: I KNOW THIS IS A OLD AS TIME but this is perfect!, ok so beside this list giving a small damage buff ( like 1% over live mostly just shifting numbers away from charm) I have opted for more utility over raw damage to make up for DFG, like Q move speed and ult giving 5%CDR but also why not give Charm Vision of it target in the fog of war finally to round out the charm as being utility for this kit but this is just wishful thinking

Angry Monster1 votes

So lee sin is listed as assassin. This just proves how terrible riot is at listing what champs are. I am serious he is listed that was on the client.

So why does she have to be an assassin? There are a lot of them already in the game. Assassin game play at this point is pretty binary. You either did you job and killed then or you did not do your job and your useless.

A kite mage can still have can still kill people. Though its going to be out playing them. More dive the back line comps could be viable with a newer ahri instead of the old.

I am not looking at your number changes cause i am not sure what would be balanced or not. When people put out numbers like you are your making a lot of blind assumptions. Riot does enough of those, we do not need the community making ti worse.

Wînter Fox2 votes

Do you play Ahri? Do you own the champion? Do you know what her spells do? Have you ever used her in ranked?

I already know the answer is "No" to at least 3/4 of my questions, so let me inform you. She is and has always been equally a Mage and an Assassin. Completely 50/50. Q and E are her long-range Mage spells, W and R are her close-range Assassin spells. She pokes the enemy down and creates opportunities with Q and E, then goes in for the kill with W and R. That is her playstyle and always has been. I'm sick of hearing "Oh she's supposed to be a low-mid-long range poke close up kiting mobile aoe single-target magic squishy tank" by people who don't play the damn champion and just want to see her nerfed.

DFG was always a great choice since her inception and fit perfectly with her playstyle. ALWAYS. It just happened to be a little too strong and got too popular after being seen at the LCS that Riot had to nerf it. But the way they nerfed her changed DFG from a choice into a requirement. Now here we are with the removal of DFG and they need to compensate Ahri for it because they pretty much handcuffed her to the item. The main point is she needs damage to do her job as a Mage/Assassin. No amount of movement speed or quality of life changes is going to make up for 44% damage amplification she got with DFG and her E. THAT is what needs to be compensated.

Angry Monster1 votes

Without even looking at the wiki.

Currently Charm- lures (taunt like) enemy towards ahri fix movement rate. Adds 10% damage amp fox fire- 3 balls of fire on delay. They target nearest enemy. witha ratio orb(probably not right name) on the way out magic damage, on the way back true damage with a ratio Ult- shorts dash that fires a projectile, recast up to 2 time, with ~15 sec.

I own the champ (actually i know all the champs) and occasionally play her. I am a jungle/ support main though. I have also been playing since season 1, since you asked.

DFG is a good choice for almost all mages. That is part of the reason its leaving. Whats is your point? You act like the assassin game pattern is the only acceptable pattern.

DFG forced ahri to what she currently is on live(think i said that before). Moving her to a kite mage is at least new ground. Currently almost every mage is played as an assassin.

Lanofrose1 votes

What would be balanced is the shift from full assassin damage (taking some but not all damage from charm by making it only 10%amp) and increasing the base and ratios on her other spell to help Kite Ahri use charm as more of a CC and less forced to just to do damage so all in all its a kit that support both her traits without nerfing the other.

As well as matching the number to live and not just blind buffing her (only a 1% damage buff over LIVEbut we lost DFG anyways) so plz give it a read before assuming im blindly putting numbers when in fact I have ran the possibilities and have them documented if you want to see yourself in the attachment showing total damage LIVE,PBE,and my suggested change-list among others for stat comparison Thank you Very Much

Angry Monster1 votes

If your numbers are so good then why is riot not using your idea? We both know why. Players always want to over tune their champs. Mobility should have power costs that give lower total damage output. This is a cost for safety of high mobility. Part of the reason people want lee sin gutted is that he does not pay for mobility. Riot may finally be figuring out what the cost should be. Trade offs.

Lanofrose1 votes
  1. This thread nor my other hasn't even picked up nearly enough steam for someone in the balance team to have seen my balance suggestion and comb over its positives and negatives not because im trying to over tune Ahri all these are decent balance suggestions but even still have you still not even looked at the list yet? there isn't specific complaints? you sound like you're throwing some baseless preconceived over generalization at me...but let just assume your not.

  2. Her Mobility has always had trade off (On a long CD as its her Ult) (Ult's actual damage range is low so you have to ult close to them to do the damage as apposed to just kiting with it only you lose 33% of it damage that way) (even after using her Ult you need to land 2 skillshots for your damage to really make an Impact) (the Ult has 1 second between each Dash making her an easy target for targeted Hard CC) seems like she had trade-offs already

She is gaining extra movement speed for casting Q. I was not talking about her ULT.

just cause they are not posting does not mean they have not read it. Time and time again rioters have said that they check the threads but do not post.

I play no ahri till now, but when I heard ahri, the first thing pop out in my mind is "Charm". And now they move the focus from charm to Q. Talkin about changing champion's identity
