If people realize...
that you can't win all games, no matter how good you are, then they might have a better time.
You can be Dopa playing in EUNE bronze, you still won't win all games. People need to realize that. Since bot lane meta is the best win condition right now, I decided to start playing Shen again and help focus / snowball bot. 2 games in a row, no matter how many times I would ult bot to save them from ganks or to help them get kills, even tower dive, my bot lane was extreme monkeys that we couldn't win. I even TPed like 3 times and canceled it to save them from getting ganked, and in both games, they still were not able to win lane and were useless later as well.
If people, like me, want to climb up, 5 things need to happen: 1)be patient. Can't stress this enough, if you don't have patience to play with trolls, lower-skilled players and AFKs in your team, then you will never climb. I used to be VERY impatient towards stupidity, and if I lost one or two games because of people being plain stupid, I would be done for the day. This way, I wasn't getting a lot of games in and therefore couldn't climb enough.
2)be ready to play hundreds, dare I say thousands, of games. It's the sad truth. Unless you are definitely higher-skilled than where you are right now (a pro player making a new acc that goes to Plat 1, or a Diamond smurf in Bronze), then don't expect for your climb to be a landslide. I had a 62% winrate starting from Gold 4 to Plat 3, now back to Plat 4 0 LP with a 54% winrate. I need to play at least 10 games to get back to where I was. Getting trolls and AFKs will set you back a lot and as I said, you can't win all games. You need to play a lot of games to climb. A good winrate is nice to have, but it won't last for long, again unless you're way higher-skilled.
3)be good. Obviously. If you just go ahead and lose your lane in every game, and then you are sub-par in later stages, then chances are you won't get a lot of wins. You might get carried in some games, but more often than not, you will lose. Putting aside the factors that are outside of your control, this is the only thing that you can control; your contribution to the game.
4)learn to dodge. Very handful tactic to avoid losing LP. Do your research during champ select. If you see a teammate with a long losing streak, or a bad winrate overall (like 45%), or an off-role, especially jungle or support, just dodge. Chances are that these players will probably not play to the expected level and lose you the game by default.
5)most importantly, be lucky. This is the most important. If you are lucky, you will climb fast. I can compare the games I play with the games my girlfriend or my friends play. My girlfriend gets ADCs that finish their games with 5+ KDA, while I get the enemy ADC doing that. It's not always the case, but goes to show that being lucky during matchmaking is the most important thing. If you are lucky enough to avoid the trolls / monkeys and they appear in the enemy team, you win elo even if you don't really perform 100%, because you win by default.
