how do you deal with an irelia that has sheen?

besides the fact that she can 100--0 with her skillset in under 10 seconds, i dont see the point in trading with her.

10 seconds is a LONG DAMN TIME for a full-kit 100-0. Just saying.

If she rushes Sheen she has no defensive items, so she's still squishy.

Best way to deal with Irelia, IIRC, is to build health if you're behind and play a bit passively? A little bit of armor too. It's not like you can't win lane against one.

And try item 3110 item 3075 and maybe item 3068 if it suits your champion.

if u build health she can outtrade you manually with her e. as a bruiser i doubt building any of those 3 items will be beneficial to my usefulness.

Sunfire's cape is an excellent bruiser item...? You don't build full damage, and sunfire's cape improves your trade because Irelia is mostly melee. Frozen heart isn't terrible on a bruiser, and it would improve your laning phase again an Irelia. Thornmail is more niche, and better on tanks, but it's not unheard of for a bruiser to buy one.

Have you considered . . . not picking Riven into Irelia?

If you're going to, though, you start a trade with shield and stun. Don't try to go Q-happy and then cc her. That's just a bad idea.

how about the only solution to playing vs irelia is playing a tank that wont kill her ever but will be useful to his adc.

Come on, man. Just because your go-to pubstomper gets pubstomped in the matchup doesn't mean the lane is impossible to win. I just gave you a workable combo, even if you do pick Riven. And even if you don't, there are other fighters that can handle it. Jax, for example. Udyr. Volibear. Basically, something with reasonable base stats that can afford to build health early game.

And that's when you should strike. Early game. Abuse her at level 1, before she has a stun. Kill if you can.

Ranged poke is also really good pre-6. Quinn top would shut her down hardcore. By the time she has the items she needs, you'll be able to snowball your other lanes, if you play it right.

TL;DR: If you have questions, there are answers. If you just came here to complain, don't phrase it as a question.

Riven can't trade with Irelia? She's got a knock-up, a shield, and an aoe stun on top of her aa steroid passive and ultimate. That sounds like a skill match-up.

Though if you wanted some defenses on her instead of building glass cannon, sunfire's wouldn't be a terrible item. I don't play Riven, though.

sheen and triforce are really big power spikes on irelia. as riven you can kill her pre6 pretty easily but then you can't really fight her again for a long time unless you are pretty far ahead.

consider building a sunfire and mercs if you die early on to irelia as riven. it's pretty much the only way to stop her from just straight 100-0 killing you every time you're in range.
