Seriously, this item is really good for catching up since it a.) gives you the gold it farms b.) pushes your lane without putting you in danger or giving the enemy gold c.) provides defenses and a movement speed boost to make diving you really hard and d.) provides a movement speed boost that helps you get back to lane. Seriously guys, if you are having trouble in lane and/or are in a lane you know you won't win, consider buying a Zz'Rot and placing it under your Tower. It denies the enemy the chance of getting First Blood Tower Gold, gives you farm for free, and makes you harder to kill. Sure it costs 2700 gold and that can set you back some gold, but hey, if you are going to be behind anyway, you might as well be providing your team with some riskless pushing power. Hey? Did a butt ton of people come Top to counter your Zz'Rot under your tower? GREAT! You just made more than one enemy champion have to come deal with a lane that the enemy should be winning anyways! That in and of itself is a win! That's like having a Teemo need help against a Tryndamere. That's a win.

It is actually a huge counter to Nasus. No self respecting Nasus will walk away from a zz'rot portal for ANY reason, turning to game into a 4v5.

Don't ever disturb him though. Or he will quite literally one shot you.

Yeah, the only champions that I know that can counter this are Graves (damn that man, he has never been the same since he lost his... nah that's too easy) and stacking champions. Champions with truck loads of wave clear, especially manaless, can also be an issue, but they are only an issue if you can't also wave clear under tower.

Uhhhhh that's actually a terrible idea. Why would you want your lane permanently pushed out if you're getting bullied? That's the exact opposite of what you want to do. And it's not like it's impossible to push against it. And it doesn't last hit. It just attacks regardless so it's RNG if you actually get any last hits or not. If I'm bullying someone in lane and they drop a ZZ I can just permanently freeze the wave in front of my own tower and zone you completely out XP while being safe from ganks lol

On the one hand, this is possible. On the other hand, the zzroter doesn't 'have' to sit there in lane being permanently zoned. If you permafreeze wave, they can literally just abandon the lane and turn some other situation into a 2v1.

The voidlings give you any gold they get for last hitting.

Only if they last hit it. If they just damage a minion then the other minions kill it, you get nothing. Which is why I said it's completely RNG

Every 4th voidling deals 15% of your max health each attack as bonus damage. In most of my experiences that's nearly half a minion's health in damage each attack. If that thing can't get you last hits, I don't know what to tell you.

That's every forth minion and it's still not guaranteed to last hit lol. It's not hard to get the wave to push towards you. If they're harassing you, your minions will start to attack then which means they won't be damaging their minions which auto pushes the lane to you. If they you any AOE to harass you, it auto pushes the wave to you. If they AA minions, it pushes the wave to you. Just stand in the back line of your minions and if they literally do anything it pushes the wave to you. If you don't believe me, just watch what the Pros do on steam. They do exactly what I just said. They might lose 4-5 minions to get the push going, but at least they're not dead or completely zoned out of XP

It's better to push when you're in a losing lane, so you can attract the jungle pressure away from the rest of the map and allow your teammates to build an advantage.

What would you recommend doing then? You are getting bullied out of lane, most likely by a Ranged champion these days, and are getting little to no CS at all in fear of getting killed or all-in'd by the opponent. You can't interact with the enemy minion wave because they have control of it basically since they are bullying you. What do you recommend?

You let them push the wave and last hit the best you can under your tower. If they're harassing you under tower, they are extremely vulnerable to getting ganked. If you drop a ZZrot, the lane is going push to their tower. That means if you want to get XP, you're going to have put yourself in an area where you can get ganked very easily. Especially since you're already behind. If the enemy is pushed to your tower and your jungler won't come help, your just going to have to grab potions and deal with it. Wasting gold on some potions and CSing under tower is still better than being zoned off of both XP and gold. At least you still get the XP and have the tower right there

Why do you assume they will be a dumb ass and push the wave? What if they actually last hit and the wave doesn't get pushed in to much? Unless I am mistaken, if you last hit well, the wave doesn't push.

he makes a good point, zzrot will auto push wave, is summons mindless creatures that attack as much as they can. the wave will get pushed even if you STOP attacking or last hitting.

This is one the most stupidest items in the game, I'm surprised a lot of more people aren't building it. Also, you don't have to be a tank to get it, you can be a support or even get this as a defensive item. This item alone will semi-tilt the enemy.

In all seriousness though, I'll give it a try anyway. Armor/MR combined with the Health from Black Cleaver could be an okay combination. Glass Cannon Fiora just plain sucks if she doesn't snowball anyway, so I guess having an off-tank build if I fall behind couldn't hurt.

...also it might prevent me from stupidly aggro-ing myself to death in a lost lane...

Nasus and veigar don't doesn't get stacks off of zzrot minions, but I'm not sure about sion and similar stacking abilities.

Edit: Bonus zzrot fun fact. With the ruby sightstone's unique passive (20% off item cooldowns) you can have 2 zzrots up at once! You only have two for about 20 seconds though, so it's not THAT practical. Please note, I tried this only once when the new ruby sightstone came out, so it's possible this might of changed.
