Normals are supposed to be where you go to practice new champions.
Except now 4/5 normal games consist of full pre-mades trying their hardest with top tier picks, which basically shits on anyone trying to play off picks, especially at high MMR.
This feature is stupid and should have been better thought out.

As someone who mostly plays normals with my friends...what? There's no requirement to not try in normals.

There's a difference between not trying and trying your hardest.
Playing against a premade of Diamond+ players with high-tier picks, when your entire team is playing off/low-tier picks is not fun. Especially at higher ratings, picks decide most of the outcome of every game.

Eh? I've definitely done both, and don't want to be discouraged from trying to play normals seriously. If I'm practicing for ranked I'm GOING to be trying my hardest, for example. If I'm messing around with crazy off-builds? I still may be trying my hardest, just at something silly.
Telling people how they should or shouldn't play normals just doesn't seem like a good idea.

Well, yes. That's part of the risk you take for playing off picks. We shouldn't balance the game experience around that guy who wants to play, say, Soraka jungle.

So in normals I play champs that I want to get an S grade with, that I'm not willing to play in ranked.
