@Riot, Some questions about Yorick's rework

So I actually got VERY hyped when I saw Yorick was added to the champion Update Schedule. Too hyped for my own good actually _

So I'm basically just gonna ask some questions here, get them off my chest. I would love to see one or two of them awnsered. I know some of these can't be awnsered because they have to be kept as a secret, or the rework may just not be that far..... But one question awnsered is better than none!

So yeah, here we go...

Who is working on Yorick's rework? (I'd love to look at the designer up and speculate over what he might do with yorick :3) When is your ''we would like to have him ready by now'' date/ Month/ time of the year?

I didn't really want to ask any gameplay specific questions... But will he still have an inbuild self heal? (I hated to see it go on Shen ;_;) Will his inbuild self heal be reliable? :^) Will his kit have an actual interaction with death? (like his current ultimate) Will Yorick itemise similar to how he does now?

Will he still be Quasimodo after the rework? Will Yorick finally get to say ''Hey dude, I'm kind of a big deal around here'' when someome visits the Shadow Isles? Basically, Will he, Lorewise, be a more powerful and important character. Or will he remain the dude who's kinda just there? Will we get to know more of who he was in life and why he does what he does? Or will his entire lore get changed? Now that the champion update team finally remembers Yorick Mori, will the Skin team do the same? :P

Will he be awesome? :3

Thanks for reading, and have a great day! summoner 31

My guess would be they will be working from that, although the suggested kits did not work out, which is why he put on hold again.

If we assume the feedback from the thread is still valid, we can answer some of your questions.

  1. He will have a self heal, but it will require a lot more interaction than his current one does. IT won't be as reliable, but you should be able to get it if you play well.
  2. Yorick's ultimate will not stay in its current form. It is unlikely that it will have a revive portion.
  3. Not taken from this thread, but from some recent Riot posts on juggernuts - Yorick is seen as a juggernaut by Riot, so expect him to build more like that. NOTE - The thread I linked has a lot of people saying that a cool thing about Yorick is hitting people hard with your shovel. Reading the comments, I doubt people would be upset by a juggernaut Yorick.
  4. He will still be a hunchback.

I've done some research when I was bored. So I knew about that Thread. I thought they would drop it though, start from the bottom with this guy :p

Yes pls

I figured his ult would go, that's why I didn't ask ''is his ult going to stay?'' I asked if he would have any interaction with death at all :p

Should be cool ;3

Someone actually confirmed that? o.0

Anyhow, Thanks for the reply dude ^-^ summoner 31

I don't think they will drop the thread - they will definitely drop any ability ideas and start gameplay from scratch - but they did a similar thing when they announced the Poppy rework and listened to everything in that thread. I think the feedback will be used.

The hunchback thing was confirmed somewhere in the thread - it has not been confirmed recently.
