The current zz'rot portal is too good

Let's analyse it. First it's gold efficient (102%) but the you throw a passive that give more or less a free pair of boots. It's pretty expensive so pretty slot efficient. It build from either a null-magic mantle or a cloth armor which is perfect to itemize in early laning phase and it allow both to be upgraded with a second cheap buy. which make it a breeze to build. The stats are armor and mr which anyone could use and the HP5 scale with resistance so the stats actualy scale on themself which is great.

So you get for your money garanteed before the voidlings enter into account. :D

Now let's analyze them, it's the hard part right ? Let's be honest, on paper voidlings are crap. They apply a pressure of about 1/4 of a champion at best. But the new patch gave them a huge range buff. Before it, you had to build the zzrot right out of the tower range to have any chance to have it work on the next tower as well. We had to build them is a pretty agressive fashion which made them short lived. But now you can build them on your tower and expect them to last the full 150 seconds. Which is great even if they don't take a tower or anything crazy.

And consider this, even if it's 1/4 of a champion and pretty negligible, at some point, one of the opponent will have to answer the threat. Even if the window is small at some point you get to be in a 5v4 because of it. A constant 5v4.75 would be lame, but a temporary 5v4 is probably all you need to make a play. :D

I reckon there is a lot more good items in the game and I might not have convinced you yet. But, wait a minute there is still 1 thing to discuss that everybody disregard : The gold generated by the voidling. Up until now, a good zzrot was up for 30-45 seconds. You could have expected 300-500 gold from the portals during a game. But now.... now the portal is fully operationnal for 150 seconds and the range make it able to be in the minion wave all the time. You can expect about 15GP10, 100 extra gold per minutes. You really can expect to make a crazy 2k gold from a long enough game with a basic usage of the portal. You wouldn't even expect that much from a face of the mountain or a frost queen claim. It nearly pay back the whole item...

tl;dr: By the time all the opponents will realize that you built a zz'rot portal, you will have made 1k gold with it already.

There seem to be a lot of super powerful yet not popular items in league. My problem with zz'rot is no hp on it, which makes it am undesirable item for the only tanky champs i play (junglers who build cinderhulk). The other thing with new ish items is what to replace in your build for it. If you typically have randuins/spirit visage/cinderhulk/mercury treads as the tanky part of your build, what do you get rid of to put in zz'rot/ohmwrecker/dead man's plate/steraks gage/titanic hydra? So many good items to build but so few item slots...

This community is made of idiots. I happen to make reliably 1.5k extra gold from a 3k gold item which was already gold efficient and they still manage to desagree with me and downvote my post.

Allright guys, I'll rush zz'rot in every single game i play until they nerf it. I don't mind free elo.

To answer about hp, indeed you need 100 armor for every slice of 750 physical dmg you take after the first. Assuming you take 50:50, you are better buying hp instead of armor before 2500hp and the zz'rot should hit the peak of gold efficiency at 3450 hp. However unless you are a die hard gold efficiency freak and you buy attack speed at 138AD and crit at 66% attack speed exactly, the efficiency of the armor is still pretty good.

After factoring the 1.5k gold refound you get from zz'rot, the question is irrelevant anyway.

Stop using the term "gold efficient" as if it really is. It compares stats of the item to the stats of the WORST ITEM IN GAME that gives same stats. Cloth armor is worst armor item in terms of armor/cost, and it is counted as 100%, so having a 102% efficiency isn't something great. That doesn't mean I disagree about Zz'rot being good item, it IS good now, maybe as 3rd-4th item for tanks/bruisers/supports. It also synergies with Teemo greatly("hey, a portal, i will go break it, oh shit, a mushroom, oh, another one, WTF that teemo was there invisible").
