50HP tank support OP ?

They have 50hp left (probably from bad trades) and they have no regen at all. And now they are hidding behind the adc. They will stay there for about 3-4 minutes until they do a positioning mistake and die.

With the new tahm week, I feel like it must be pretty OP on him because I see a ton of players executing this exact strat.

Can someone explain to me the subtleties of this strategy I feel like when I apply this myself, all I really do is leaving my adc in a 2v1 situation and feeding. Please help !

I've noticed an increase of support and adc's both buying item 3302 which allows for more gold for the support and some nice healing for both players. This is a strategy I would like to see more of and hope to see pros start doing. As for that 50hp thing, it might some sort of mindset from playing too much aram (since you can't recall in aram but you can heal when the station appears). Subconsciously they might be thinking "if I wait long enough, something might happen to heal me."
