Is dodge banning something that occurs often?

Basically, when someone dodges a game, you are extremely likely to be queued together with the same players. Therefore, you can write down every single champion that were picked. This way, when someone dodges, you banned whatever champion someone picked. Of course, there's the chance this is a coincidence, but when a champion that is very low on the ban rate get banned that someone else happened to have picked in previous champ select before the dodge is banned(lets use trundle ban as an example.), this is very suspicious. So I was wondering if any of you have utilized this strategy before or have been a victim of it.

I absolutely do this when the enemy has picked something i dont want to face and someone dodges. Sometimes you get them on your team, sometimes you dont. I call it a targeted ban.

Basically. I try to pay attention to what everyone is picking, and I glance at my teammate's names.

If I wind up with the same names, I ban what would have annoyed me the other team picked.

If not with my same team... same thing. I ban what would annoy me that my former queue mates picked. Screw those guys.

Yeah it's a thing.

Yesterday I was in a lobby.

My main got banned so I picked a different champion.

Someone dodged then next lobby both my main and the second pick were banned.
