I think league needs a shorter game mode such as dominion or nexus blitz more than the other way around. The biggest problem with summoner's rift is that riot is trying to stretch it too thin. They need a shorter map to retain players who want 20 minute games without compromising summoner's rift.
Honestly... I dont find it as fun as it used to be. Most games your team is literally getting destroyed or you guys are destroying the other team. IDK why its so unbalanced like that, but after the quests I pretty much never looked at the mode again.
its not as good as Dominion. Dominion was every thing that they stated they wanted out of nexus blitz so i dont know why they removed it
With the amount of work Riot has put into it, it would be a waste of time to not make it permanent.

Its been almost 2 years since Ascension was last available. ALMOST 2 FUCKING YEARS.
Personally? I think it was extremely fun at first but after doing the quests specifically for blitz I felt no desire to play it again. Last time it released I thought it was just trash, so it has improved massively in the second iteration. Perhaps a 3.0 version could hold my interest for longer but there's lots of work that needs to be done. Now that it's been out a month and a meta was starting to form and the wackiness has sort of dulled to those of us who have been playing, I'm not sure I would really ever play it again in its current state.
I think it has potential! I found it really fun the first time it was on live servers, but not as much the second time. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still fun, but it obviously needs changes if it’s gonna become a permanent mode. First of all I think the GA reward needs to go. Nothing is more tilting than losing the first event and the enemy team getting GA’s that early on. I also don’t care for the paranoia event, but that could jsut be personal preference. Also if they are going to make it permanent they would/should look at mode specific balance changes to some champions. Now that the mode has been out for a while between both of its visits to the live servers, people are starting to figure out what champions are really good and just spamming them.
I found nexus blitz great although it is mostly feast or famine as people have mentioned (Still better than only having aram).
The ban system was a good addition I can ban yi (super op with the income you can get), yas or ban the equivalent of banning fiddle as aurelion. The herald should either give the eye or baron buff not both if its kept at all.
Honestly I wouldn't mind if it was made permanent seems alright, if it isn't made permanent bring back RGM's (no I don't mean poro king rotation) theyre barely once bi-month as it is now.

I don't think it is fit to be a permanent game mode. It's to feast or famine to be fun in the long run and poeple already tryhard on it by doing stuff like herald (shouldn't even be here in the first place imo)
The fact it's the best mode to earn pass token without random pick also kinda screw the popularity data of the queue (would have prefer 3v3 if it was an option for exemple)
It's a snowballing clown fiesta coin flip with no balance, and I hope Riot shelves it because it's fucking horrific.
But I know it'll be back, with more missions forcing you to play it or miss out on special unique limited-time rewards... God I hate that stupid trend that every game nowadays has to try to addict people instead of just BE FUCKING FUN.
I like it for the most part, yes It can be unbalanced, but it's a nice change of gameplay. I hope they make It a permanent mode, but I highly doubt it will happen. From what I read, people don't like changes at all... URF make people stop playing the game, people don't like reworks, but yet the same hope for reworks. Sometimes I'm sick of only playing Summoner's rift, Nexus Blitz can help me make my games different. I guess change is bad?
