Can we please get some buffs to defense items?

Can we please get some buffs to defense items, it's been a long time since we had any. A completed defense items in general has always been cost inefficient, while a completed offense items in general has always been cost effective by a HUGE shot.. Not to mention all those penetrations, bonus damage from various sources, percentage damage and true damage...etc..

To add to this, offensive items has been getting buffs/tweaks very often in patches...while defensive items rarely get any help....Can defensive items please get some buffs to at least be able to not fall too far behind and continue to fall behind every patch?
