LP > Friends?

Alright, I have been playing with these two friends I know who basically the same rank as me.. Or I thought. One is a one trick zac and the other is a undecided adc/mid/top main. And well I guess they're nice and all but they just, don't know what not fighting means. The zac engages whenever and constantly focuses on kills and if he gives up first blood he slams his keyboard and whenever he sees and opportunity he just attacks everyone. It tilts me without the other team do it. I don't want to be rude and just not play with them but I want to rank up. Should I just mute them and carry myself or play with people from solo que and just play without them?

I just play solo queue, and use the solo emblem as an excuse rather than blaming their skills.

I'm generally happy to play normals with whoever if they're really keen to play with me (...particularly when I have a chest available to be earned [which I find is easier when in a group of lower MMR people so I can be stompy] but I typically don't point this out).

Well we are similar ranks its just that I know more about the map and such than others. Plus they flame others.

Being the same rank has never been a strong indicator of being the same skill. If it's not currently reflected in your MMR's under the hood, then it inevitably will be if you play separately much.

Someone close to me started league at the same time as me, and was the same rank as me (mid silver-ish) for awhile, so I initially made the mistake of thinking we were the same skill. We parted ways, and now she's upper bronze, and I'm mid plat. People can be great people and all, it's just sometimes it's best to venture out on your own.

What the guy above said! Just play normals with them and either find better players to rankup with or you can fly solo. Witchever u prefer.

Depends what you have the most fun doing in my opinion. I've dropped a bit this season from diamond to plat by playing more with people I've enjoyed and were a bit lower skill. Quite honestly I don't care if my border is going to have to diamonds or not at the corners next season.

But they're annoying, its just I don't want to be rude.

If they're actually annoying you then remove them from your friends list without even talking to them. I don't know about you, but I spend enough time at work, commuting, fixing things, running errands, paying bills, working out, etc... that the last thing I want to do with my limited free time is spend it trying to deal with annoying people.

Well they are in my high school, thats the thing and they are in my classes, so if I ignore them then it would be really weird just making excuses. I will just make excuses for in real life stuff I assume.

Meaning you'll graduate soon and never see them again. Just do whatever makes you happy and don't be the high schooler that worries what everyone else thinks of you.

I had the same issue when I started out playing. I was Bronze 3 and my friend was bronze 5. He would ask to play ranked and I ended up dropping to bronze 4. So I stopped playing ranked with him and I climbed to bronze 2 so far. I still play with him, just not in ranked mode.

Norms with friends. Ranked is Yoloqueue for me.
