Have you ever considered, I don't know, walking out of his Q?

either chogath main or never played this game

I would consider myself a Yi main, probably the type of champion who has some of the most difficulty with Cho.

That aside however, it's not hard to get past Cho'Gath with virtually any gap closer timed against his Q if it's centered, or simply walking out of it if it isn't.

now dont hate me but... if I'm not already in motion I find that it's difficult to simply walk out of it in time

Yes, but can you catch Cho'Gath?

Serious question, I know one of Zeds problem was his shadow being a safety net for ganks. I guess a properly placed Q does something similiar.

I read the title, hovered over to see (Champion 31) and just thought to myself "I really hope he's talking about Cho'gath".

Was not disappointed. +1.

Maokai is just as unhealthy in lane. Galio Would be as well if his mana costs weren't so abysmal.

In this context does "unhealthy" mean "zomg can't all-in and burst him, imba nerf pls"?

Cho has huge mana costs and if denied CS can't use his passive to replenish the mana. He's also weak before he builds his tanky gear.

anything with range in midlane can, as long as you are good enough to ward and ot stand in the Q.

-easy to dodge knockback -silence that doesn't last forever, and it outranged by many mage spells and even Zed's Q -toggled spikes with 500 range that is still outranged by many mage's aa, such as Ahri with 550 range -ultimate with 175 range... which is barely past melee range

Seriously. Are you kidding me?

Just build boots as your second item (or even first!), then something along the lines of item 3151 item 3116 item 3027 and item 3165

Cho'Gath is ridiculously balanced compared to a lot of champions. Build boots and you can dodge his knockup even if you're silenced. If you can't kite a champion with a melee ultimate, then why are you in the midlane in the first place?

ForgiveColour1 votes

he wins lane by outsustaining you and most mids aa range is not >550 how are you supposed to dodged his silence? Is that why people have mana problem because you spam every single skill off cooldown to cs

IcyPepper1 votes

that's why I suggested item 3165, it'll help hurt his sustain a bit.

How are you supposed to dodge Leblanc's W?

How are you supposed to dodge Annie's stun?

How are you supposed to dodge Zed's R?

Yes, his silence is a bitch, but not all champions are 100% easy to manage. You can still dodge the knockup (get boots asap) and avoid his melee range for his ultimate. HIs sustain is a bitch, but that doesn't mean he can stay there forever. He has no escapes, so a good jungler is going to gank your lane soon enough to help you get an early kill in the first place.

Notice how nobody cared about Cho'Gath a few weeks ago? He hasn't received any changes or anything else to suddenly make him rise to prominence; it's just a shift in the meta.
