Don't let all this preseason hullabaloo distract you from the real issue...

That Cho'gath can become an unstoppable unkillable monster with basically infinite health and insane resistances, building literally only tank items, and can still one-shot most carries by pressing 3 buttons, then shrug off all the damage you deal to him trying to stop him from doing so by staying out of combat for about 5-6 seconds, then come back and continue to knock up, silence, and slow your whole team to oblivion.

Pro league casters, pro league players, and dozens (if not hundreds) of people on these boards have all mentioned that there is absolutely ZERO counterplay to a fed cho'gath, other than forfeiting the game or hoping your team can win the game around him.

Post 25 minutes, Cho'gath charges at you at 100mph with righteous glory, slows your whole team, activates stoneplate, and does 2000+ true damage point-and-click. All while being absolutely unkillable unless your whole team focus fires LITERALLY ONLY HIM with ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for a solid 6-10 seconds. Add The ultimate hat + Transcendence on top of it? If you're feeling REALLY froggy, add Cosmic insight + magical footwear + swiftness boots on top of THAT? There is no escape. One of your carries is going to die. Period. There is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it. God forbid he's fed enough to have built rylais on top of it all too, for the slow on his W, on top of the slows on his E and Q already. "just kite him" yeah. Ok. Righteous glory + 3 in-kit slows. Kite him. Sure. Plus slow resistance from swiftness. Or what about the tenacity summoner spell rune + the tenacity "legend" rune + merc treads? There is no kiting a fed cho'gath. It just can't be done. Not even accounting for the flash + R.

Inb4 "don't let him get fed" and "play faster games" and "kite him" and whatever other 'get gud' bullshit people want to say about it. The fact of the matter is that it CAN happen and it DOES happen, and its happened to probably everyone at least once or twice by now, and it cannot be argued that it is absolute cancer to play against.

I almost feel guilty even playing it. Granted, most games I'm just a champion with a pretty threatening ultimate and some CC - but in those few games where I get hysterically fed? Good god... its just dirty. Its disgusting. People routinely type in all chat "Wow. 1900 true damage. Fair" or something similar after they get nommed.

No escape?

I by my self with my main blitzcrank can keep a cho juggled for like 8 seconds.

So can almost every other support.

Not to mention 90% of adcs can just walk away from him with their insane mobility.

He doesn't deal nearly as much damage and no, he is far from problematic right now.

He's still a melee champ with no way of outplaying you, delays on his abilities and no matter how big he is, he goes down quickly if focused. His only threat is Flash ulting somebody or focusing a squishy diver, beyond that he is nothing. He is a good counterpick into certain comps with low DPS though.

lol.... wut
you ok? Have you been in a game vs this champion?

His only threat is Flash ulting somebody

He has a huge AoE silence, % health damage AoE slow, and then yes... his knockup is delayed and semi-difficult to hit. I'll grant you the Q argument.

But a cho'gath with a righteous glory charging at your team is enough of a threat to draw out SEVERAL key cooldowns, disrupt an entire team fight, burn flashes, burn hourglasses, and that's before he even casts anything. Just him BEING there, just him EXISTING and running at your team is enough to burn A LOT of shit.

Then he starts casting spells. People start dying because they thought they were gonna stun people, thought they were gonna ult people, thought they were gonna nuke people, but when they press the buttons nothing happens because literally the entire team is silenced all at once. 10-30% of 2 or 3 members health is gone from his E autos.

And this is all BEFORE he pops his stone plate and insta-nukes your highest value target with 2000+ true damage on a point-and-click skill.

Then once all of that stuff of nightmares is finished, he just walks away from the fight at 20-30% health (which is still in the thousands) and heals it all back up within a few seconds with warmogs, and comes back in for more.

That's a whole lot more than "just flash ulting somebody."

Lets keep in mind the OP is about a FED cho'gath.

I couldn't care less about a fed chogath. Chances are my Vayne bot kills him in 5 seconds, my brand support makes it impossible for him to ever do anything while melting him, my mage provides enough damage to make him split resistances and DPSes him down with me.. there are so many factors. Cho gets a lot of HP and he can stack resists easily because of that, but he is a slow moving tank, even if you give him a glory and a flash, once those are used (and they do not guarantee anything 100%) he becomes useless and an easy kill. His W is very short ranged, it has a delay attached to it and everything. Cho will never get E damage off on more than one person in a teamfight and even then you will not be able to auto consistently. It's an unreal setting where you just look at his numbers and put him in a perfect position.

In a real game he gets kited to death, won't hit a crucial Q and then just suffer as his flash is down.

Also in a scenario like that it is extremely likely that not only he is extremely fed but also the rest of his team. He stomps you extremely hard when everybody is winning, who would have guessed.

With item 3193 that's just not true. I've seen pro players pop plate and literally walk up to an enemy adc and one shot them with a true damage. That's not healthy period. Sure, that might be a rare occurrence but the fact remains that it's possible while being extremely tanky where you have to focus him down over higher priority champs.

They've literally halved the damage of that interaction and even then it only used to be around 1500 true damage at best. A lot, but not enough to completely 100 0 somebody. It's predictable as hell too.

Cho is not a problem. You know who is? Vayne. Runes have great synergy with her, she deal %hp max hp true dmg, 2-auto squichies and they are dead. She doesn't require high skill like she udes to. She doesn't have weak early anymore, and once fed SHE is unsopable, not Cho. She just need two items to powerspike, also these 2 items got cheaper so it's even earlier now
