Lowering the cooldown on snowballs will cause it to be a buff overall. It's going to be very fun for Nunu because his job is to make sure the enemy team has zero fun at all.

I love it and hope this change goes through.

the cdr and mana improvement means it's a net buff

Those are major Nunu nerfs , not buffs.... the duration of his slow chunked massively.

Damage and AP ratio reduced.

Thanks for the "Buffs" Riot.

CD lowered with levels, mana reduced, more spammable = more damage in the same time period

this is a buff.

Except the slow (both types) and the damage are both drastically worse.

It's a straight up nerf... you'd think they'd rework Nunu rather than nerf him.

in the same period of time you can throw 2 snowballs out on live, you can use 3 on the PBE. this is a net damage buff; over 12 seconds (no CDR) and ignoring MR, Nunu will deal 720 base damage on his E, as opposed to live, which is 550. The scaling has not been severely reduced, so it will require a fairly big chunk of AP before old Nunu will outdamage him.

there's also less downtime on the slow itself; 2 seconds of downtime on the PBE as opposed to 3 on live; .4 and .6 respectively with max CDR and max rank.

It's a buff If you are in a fight with Nunu for 12 seconds, he'll get 3 ice blasts on you instead of 2. While the damage decrease and duration nerf is there, if you went full AP and max CDR Nunu (Not sure if people do that) then his ice blast would be only 2.4 second CD and the 2 second slow means it's almost a perma slow (only giving you a .4 seconds time to not be slowed). Also the mana cost reduce is also there to make it more of a buff to.

It's a buff

Except it's a nerf because it decreased the power across the board. If it was a buff, it would either remain the same or get better in some way, not decrease damage, Ap ratio and slow duration.

This isn't a buff or a nerf

It's a readjustment of power

Lower damage strongest slow for less duration

And lower mana cost and CD

They are making it less impactful damage wise but more spammable, the slow is stronger at lvl 1 but loses 33% it's duration and the max rank slow is the same so it results in an early game utility buff for a late game utility nerf

It's readjusting the power of his ability, not a buff or a nerf

Big Lincoln1 votes

there's less downtime on his slow/debuff as well. assuming you build CDR, his snowball will be on a 2.4 second cooldown

higher damage over the same period of time assuming you use it liberally (you can use 3 max-rank snowballs in the same time you can use 2 on live)

he sucks the fun out of every match I have to deal with him

please don't

That's a nerf.

I like those changes, buffing slow in early means you not necessarily need to max E, here we go Q max nunu counterjungle train.

plz

i'm not ready for nunu meta item 3070

This doesn't actually seem like a buff or a nerf.

Overall, his E will be roughly as strong in all aspects except for one: He can slow more targets in a smaller time frame.

If you want to quantify it by how much DPS or slow strength he gains or loses on a single target over the course of several seconds, the effect is close to net zero gain. However, in a team fight where he has multiple targets to focus on, this simply means he can distribute his slows more evenly amongst the enemy players. The champ he's currently using E on will be less impacted, but everyone else will be slightly more impacted, effectively allowing him to distribute his mana expenditures and damage more efficiently and feel less oppressive all in one go.

This should actually make him feel a lot less oppressive to play against, while feeling more controllable to play as.
