Botrk being picked over Black Cleaver (Item meta?)
I guess armor pen is too expensive :P
the cooldown% doesn't increase on upgrade
The only time I've seen black cleaver picked up - was only when top lane is "winning" I have a feeling players even opt to choose Ghostblade over BC
Oh, we haven't even mentioned Hydra yet :P
So the idea behind BC, is to offer better peel for the ADC or for yourself and the jungler. . but whenever the top laner decides to focus down a player --> they either flash or escape So ideally BC would never get 4 stacks of armor reduction, unless the target was already dead.
Also Black cleaver reduces armor by a PERCENTAGE, rather than a flat rate Ghostblade (+20 armor pen) +movespeed Botrk (no armor pen) burst item +movespeed and more atkspeed to split push if that is ever needed (same with ghostblade) Hydra (wave clear) and the all important lifesteal (same with botrk)
So you either do straight up damage with the ghostblade, or get more sustain AND damage with botrk / hydra The BC has 200 hp, but the Botrk will always steal more hp, and give more mobility
I think the BC should remain a defensive item, possibly a second buy after hydra or botrk, rather than a specific item for pantheon lol Why doesn't BC "steal" armor? Would make Trundle better (after buying botrk lol)
The stats should be a bit better +200 health --> 215 hp +50 attack damage --> 55 ad +10% cooldown reduction UNIQUE: +10 armor penetration
updated passive - steals armor
And, it's pretty important that this item gets reworked, with major champions such as Shyvanna, Udyr, Trundle, Rengar, Renekton, (only pointing out champions with natural armor skills)
It's pretty stale seeing one of the 3 items I mentioned being bought first --> straight to randomeins (Renekton hydra) (Shyvana Sunfires)
With the new item the game would change a bit. Top laners can build offensively and have more armor --> harder to focus down rather than being tanky and having no damage, getting ignored because of Ori shield / Lulu / Karma or even heals and ghost. . barrier cough
