Question to Cassiopeia mains

So, I used to main Cassiopeia back in season 3 and 4 when I considered myself a mid main.

Ever since then I became a jungle main, but recently I started to play her again, along with other midlaners, and I'm kinda rusty.

So to my question. I see that 55% of Diamond players use Deathfire Touch, 30% Thunderlord's and 15% Stormraider's.

Being the thunderlord percentage so high I assume there are match ups that Thunderlord's is favoured, though I reckon this could just be player preference, and I was wondering when should I go for Thunderlord's instead of Deathfire, if ever.

as a midmain though not a cass main I would like to suggest that it is not the keystone but the other masteries that make the difference here.

% vs flat penetration for example or extra 5% cdr.

Thunderlords is also better if you aren't stacking a lot of damage right away, in general thunderlords is better earlygame if you aren't going to build damage and constantly poke with abilities every 3 seconds.

if you are stacking damage fast then deathfire becomes a lot better
