I think some of you need a refresher on what to build on who/what role (please read)
I'm getting kind of tired seeing poor itemization and mastery choices.
I just had this game, where my support Bard, who I find out is a one trick Bard player this season, rushes
right after
. Now, you might say, well, Nashors Tooth is good on Bard. I know nothing about Bard, but I'm sure it's probably good on him in the mid or top lane, and not as support.
Do you see the difference in itemization between Bard and Soraka? Soraka went
and
, along with
and
. Now you might tell me, well Bard went
! He sure did, but anyone with a brain looking at both compositions knows that Solari/Redemption would of been the more optimal route to go. I'm not saying Bard was the sole reason for the loss, but he was a decent amount of the percentage as his build severely made him out classed to the Soraka build.
This isn't the only case, this is just the one that broke the camels back, I have been seeing a lot of weird masteries being taken on champions that would have far more optimal out comes with other masteries.
Such as
taking CoC (Courage of the Colossus) or Grasp of the Undying. On a champion like Renekton who strives on getting an early lead and just steam rolling with it, which his kit is designed for, these masteries don't do well with that. The optimal Mastery is Fervor, for the simple reason that his double AA stun racks up those Fervor stacks so fast (AA + stun + AA = 8 stacks), it's a no brainer.
I also see some Lucians take Warlords Bloodlust over Fervor, which I don't understand at all, because it's the same reasoning as Renektons. Lucians current build has him going Blade of the Ruin King, which gives him more than enough sustain, so he doesn't need Bloodlust. Lucians passive also makes for quick stacking of Fervor, which gives you a huge advantage in skirmishes in the bot lane, and can even land you a triple kill if played correctly when the jungler comes.
I'm also seeing Kassadin making his way up on the play rates, but the issue is that some of you are running Deathfire Grasp on a champion that benefits more from short in and out bursts. You will have a much easier time killing targets with Thunderlords than you will with Deathfire Grasp.
There's a number of other combinations that don't make sense to me either, but I don't really feel like making this post a novel, all in all, just learn the optimal masteries/runes for the champions you play, it will help a lot.
