I spent mine not knowing there was a limit of only 3 ever. I thought after the season ended it would reset. This was back when I was new to the game too. I think I refunded the same skin twice because I just could not decide if I wanted it or not.

I bought Rengar, sucked at him, refunded it. Two weeks later I bought Rengar again. My other two refunds were on Xin Zhao and some random mage I can't even remember. I really wish I knew that it wouldn't reset.

I also bough Rammus with the initial RP that League gives you instead of using it to buy a skin on sale.

Looking back, I pretty fucking stupid back then.

Only season 3 veteran here, but I still got 2 refunds left. While I didn't know the 3 refunds were lifetime ones, I suspected they were - because logic. And so, the one refund I have spent was only used after careful consideration.

That said, I wouldn't mind all of us getting 1 refund every year (up to a max of 3) as a present.

the problem here is most people wasted them when they started and were doing dumb stuff. now people are trying to refund stuff that they actually accidently bought, but they don't have the refunds. There is also the point that the refund doesn't lose Riot to much money as the RP was already bought and there is no way to refund that. The only way that they lose money is if someone refunds something that was not on sale, buys it again and then uses the left over RP on other stuff.

Giving people rp is giving away their product. Doesnt matter if it was already spent and is a refund. If 1000 rp was injected into my account i am far less likely to spend money for a while since that rp will keep me going for a bit.

The only reason people want refunds is they want other champions runes skins ect (duh). This is their product. They cannot give continuous refunds or else people can refund that $50 skin pack flavor of the month (currently lux) when the next one comes out down the line, and keep doing that.

It's just a reality that if you want stuff you need to wait or pay. They are a business. Money is the bottom line

first off no RP is getting "injected into my account" when I use a refund, I paid for RP, used it on something I didn't like, and got back what I used while giving back the product. second, very few people in the community want continuous refunds, many are asking for 1-3 at the start of a season, which to me sounds reasonable.

It is like getting fresh rp though. You obviously aren't refunding something which you use regularly and really like. You said people would refund "dumb" stuff. Dumb purchases are still sales and letting people go back on that stuff hurts their bottom line. If companies refunded stuff every time someone had buyers remorse they wouldn't make a ton of money, especially when their product is likely to cause that (such as $50 for giggles and particle effects Lux )

You are not entitled to a refund. You should be thankful that Riot is generous enough to give any, let alone three. Perhaps this can, in some simple way, be a lesson about comprehension and forethought, rather than the monotonous whining it always ends up being.

I wish there was a rental system (no not hextech rentals where you lose the shard by renting it) so people could try out champions and skins before purchasing them without having to wait for champions to pop up on the free rotation, thus making refunds obsolete.

It could be a one time, very short term (24hr?) rental just for people to get a feel for content before they end up blowing up to 6300 ip on a champion or RP on a skn.

In the new client, Store -> Account (small circle, second one to the right of Purchase RP) -> Purchase History. You'll see how many you have left (3-0), and if you have any left, things you've purchased in the past 3 months may have a Refund button next to them.

If you go into the store and go to account, you can view your purchases and it give the option for a refund on anything you've bought

People bitch about literally everything in this game. It's a free to play game, and people like OP are basically complaining because it isn't free enough. So sad. If you want to complain, complain about actual gameplay shit like balance issues, matchmaking systems/autofill, and yasuo, not the free stuff.
